We have recently been to Honey Cottage to do some refresher painting inside and out. We are grateful that our guests take great care of the cottage but we know some wear and tear is inevitable. We love the occasional shout outs we get when something is confusing or has gone wrong so we can resolve the issue. We also get lovely messages and pics of the things people (and pups) have enjoyed…. even if it’s just snoozing by the fire!!

This is the coastal walk we did from Sandsend to Runswick Bay, late lunch in the cafe in Runswick then bus back to Sandsend to pick up the car. A perfect day!

Christmas has come to Honey cottage😊
Cosy up in front of the log burner to watch a Christmas classic after a good walk on the beach along our beautiful East coast, dinner is all sorted at one of the plenty full Pubs & Restaurants in & around our lovely village or maybe just cook a comforting dinner & relax😊
Availability over Christmas & into the new year.

Look out for our new Stone paving & outdoor kitchen with new gas Bbq early next year 😊

🍾 We have unexpectedly now got availability from 29th December to 3rd November if anyone is looking for a break over New Year.

🎄 We also have availability Sunday to Friday for the next couple of weeks if you are looking for a pre Christmas get away! If you haven’t been before Whitby is particularly nice to wander around at this time of year.

Honey Cottage will soon be getting decorated ready for Christmas but if any guests would prefer no decorations we can easily take them down.

We only have 3 weekends available before the end of the year 9th/10th November, 7th/8th December and 14th/15th December.

There is more availability during the weeks, today till Friday 25th, and from 4th November onwards.

If you are interested in a Christmas stay we have availability from 22nd to 27th.

As usual you will get toiletries, towels, plus over winter a welcome basket with logs and kindling.

Please message for specific dates and prices. We do also advertise via an agent on the usual platforms if you prefer to book that way, but the best prices are available from us directly.

Honey Cottage now has a log store so we can make sure you have a basket with logs and sticks on your arrival! Nothing like a fire when it’s cold outside.

We have availability from 20th October.

🎄 Christmas is still available and our local pub The Badger Hounds is serving Christmas lunch as is the nearby Ellerby Country Inn. For those who want it we will decorate for Christmas.🎄
