What an amazing summer it has been for my business and my own travel.

July and August have been really busy months with lots of clients travelling all over the globe from Europe, Barbados, Singapore, Australia and many more destinations.

I feel lucky to have had 2 holidays this summer with friends on a Virgin Voyages cruise around the Greek Islands & then quality family time relaxing in Türkiye.

My little boy is back to school today so the summer juggling is finally over and I'm back to my normal working hours. September is always a busy month for booking holidays as everyone likes something to look forward to after the holiday blues.

Back home and still reminiscing about our incredible stay at the Acanthus Cennet Barut Hotel in Antalya 🌊✨. From the moment we arrived, everything felt effortless — the check-in was smooth, the staff were genuinely welcoming, and the whole place radiated a relaxed luxury that set the tone for the perfect getaway.

Mornings started with breathtaking Mediterranean views and a breakfast spread that’s hard to beat — fresh fruits, warm pastries, and so many local flavors worth trying. If you’re heading there, don’t miss the traditional Turkish breakfast options!

Afternoons were best spent by the infinity pool or strolling along the private beach, and if you’re into exploring, the old town of Antalya is just a short trip away with its charming streets, markets, and history. Evenings at the hotel were all about incredible dining (the à la carte restaurants are a must-book in advance!) and sunset walks along the shore.

Travel tip: Book a sea-view room if you can — waking up to that view is unforgettable. Also, try to plan at least one day just to unwind at the hotel spa; it’s worth it.

Thank you to the team at Acanthus Cennet Barut for making it such a seamless and memorable experience. We left with full hearts, countless photos, and a longing to return. Until next time, Antalya! 🌴🍷

8 years ago today my husband & I got married on the shores of The Bay of Kotor in beautiful Montenegro!

A wedding is a wonderful occasion wherever it takes place but I had a vision of our wedding being aboard with our close family & friends. Gorgeous weather, al fresco dining & partying into the night all coupled with stunning views.

From engagement to wedding day was 10 months - finding a venue, accommodation & everything else that makes the perfect wedding - all in a country I had never visited before!

If getting married aboard is your dream I highly recommend it!
If going to Montenegro is on your travel wish list I absolutely recommend visiting too!

I’ve booked lots of clients holidays to Montenegro who instantly felt the connection & fell in love with the country as much as myself, family and friends.

Hello and welcome to my business

Hello my name is Paula and I am an independent Travel Counsellor based in Derbyshire close to Matlock on the edge of the beautiful Peak District. Originally from Cheshire I live with my husband Mike and our son Arthur who enjoys regular visits from my stepchildren Liv & Will.

Being a member of the Travel Counsellors family is a privilege which allows me to draw on extensive personal travel knowledge whilst enjoying the framework of holiday options and discounts the travel counsellor global brand offers. The key factor to all that we do is the personal touch ensuring that we deliver, and exceed, customer expectations – meaning that you are sure to receive the best service and enjoy the holiday you deserve.

I have over 17 years of travel industry experience initially with Monarch Airlines as both long haul and short haul cabin crew. This gave me extensive knowledge of world destinations, the best hotels, the resorts which suit differing profiles and those hidden tips which once experienced can make a holiday extra special. My knowledge includes safaris, Lapland, ski resorts and beach/sun destinations. City breaks including my own personal favourite New York and driving the Pacific Highway from San Fran to Vegas feature heavily in my list that have been ticked and thoroughly enjoyed. If you dream of a South African wine tasting trip, I have experienced it and can make it a reality! More recently I have worked organising travel logistics for a triathlon events team organising bike travel and hotel/flight bookings for competitors across Europe. This involved valuable knowledge of European flights and hotels to suit all budgets.

Throughout my time in travel my focus has been on customer service of the highest level. It is the most important factor to me when I travel and it is how I believe my customers should be treated, I am a trained wedding florist and therefore can specialise in dream weddings abroad or honeymoons – in 2017 I arranged my own marriage in Montenegro and therefore can bring my own ideas and experience to assist you to make your day perfect in every way!
