🌟 Employee of the Month – July 🌟

A huge congratulations to Josh!

Josh is one of those people who just gets stuck in and gets the job done - no fuss, no drama, just total professionalism and a big smile.

He’s flexible, always willing to help, and a real company man through and through. We recieve great feedback about Josh all the time, but one recent private hire really stood out ... the customer was so impressed with his attitude, attention to detail, and friendly manner that they actually asked us to put him forward for Employee of the Month.

🎉 Well Josh… you’ve only gone and done it! ✨

🏖️ Customer feedback makes our day 🥰🌟
Thank you for choosing to travel with us 🩵☀️

"We recently used Sleafordian Coaches for our airport transfer to and from East Midlands Airport, and the service was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Communication before the trip was reassuring, and everything ran like clockwork.

Despite our return flight landing in the early hours of Sunday morning, our driver was waiting for us with a big smile and a cheerful attitude. He was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and took a genuine interest in our holiday which was so lovely; especially chatting with my children, asking them all about our adventures. It really made the journey home feel comfortable and relaxed.

He was professional, courteous, and so engaging, a true credit to your team. The vehicle was clean, spacious and comfortable, and the whole experience was completely stress free.

The quote wasn’t the cheapest we received, but I don’t compromise on safety, especially when my children are involved. I wanted peace of mind, and that’s exactly what we got. The vehicle was comfortable which is just what we needed at 2am and the driver’s professionalism made all the difference.

We wouldn’t hesitate to use Sleafordian Coaches again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and friendly airport transfer service. Thank you for making our travel so easy and enjoyable!"

😡😡😡😡😰😰😰😰
Yesterday should have been a proud day for us. Our new corporate coach made its very first journey, transporting King's Lynn Town Football Club up to Chorley Football Club. A lot of hard work, care, and investment went into preparing that vehicle - it represents our family’s dedication to doing this job properly.

Sadly, after the game yesterday afternoon, that pride turned into upset. A small group of young Chorley “supporters” decided to attack our coach by pelting it with rocks and stones. They shattered a rear window, which means our new vehicle is now off the road until costly repairs are made.

We want to be clear; we know this behaviour does not represent Chorley supporters as a whole. The majority of fans up and down the country follow their clubs with passion and respect. But it only takes a handful to cause damage, fear, and unnecessary cost to small businesses like ours.

We are a family-run business, and behind every coach is not just steel and glass - it’s years of graft, late nights, and people whom genuinely care about what they do. Generations of love, pride, and dedication have gone into building what we have today. To see that disrespected in such a mindless way is deeply disheartening.

Yes, we have insurance, but this doesn’t take away the emotional toll. It doesn’t take away the worry for the driver at the time of the incident. It doesn’t take away the stress of rearranging workloads. And it certainly doesn’t take away the sadness of seeing something we’ve worked so hard for damaged needlessly. On top of that, there were additional costs involved in arranging a replacement vehicle and driver at short notice on a Bank Holiday to ensure the players could still travel home safely - another burden unfairly placed on us as a result of this senseless behaviour.

This was not just about damage to a coach, it could have caused serious injury to the players or our driver. No one should feel unsafe simply for travelling home after a football match.

There is a saying in football that the “team parked the bus” - but our coaches aren’t part of the match. If you’re angry about the result, taking it out on us achieves nothing. Please remember: it’s not clubs or players you hurt, but ordinary families and small businesses trying to do their job.

We’re also concerned at the lack of security outside the stadium and will be raising this with the relevant authorities. Thankfully, our vehicles are fitted with CCTV, and we will be working closely with the police and the football authorities to ensure those responsible are held accountable. We also urge host clubs everywhere to recognise their responsibility in making sure visiting teams and their transport are properly protected.

Football should bring people together. Rivalries belong on the pitch, not in car parks, not on vehicles, and never against the people just doing their jobs.

We’ll get the coach repaired and back on the road as soon as possible, but this is a reminder of the challenges family businesses face in this industry.

💔 This needs to stop.

Finally, we want to thank those who have already reached out with kind words and support. It really does mean a lot in times like these. It reminds us that for every few who behave this way, there are so many more good people who value and respect what we do❤️

✨Happy Bank Holiday Monday!✨

A big shout out to our incredible team who’ve kept the journeys rolling over a very busy weekend. From our drivers to the support behind the scenes – you’ve all gone above and beyond, and we couldn’t do it without you.

Here’s to a well earned rest for some, and safe travels for everyone still out on the road today.

This Bank Holiday has taken us everywhere – from the Coldplay crowds at Wembley, to football in Eastleigh, and down to Crystal Palace with Nottingham Forest fans, who brought back a point after securing a draw. Add in flights at Manchester Airport, the bright lights of Victoria, the long haul up to Glasgow, across to Chorley… plus festival transport for Lost Village and Stonedead, and wedding journeys to some stunning venues – it’s fair to say we’ve covered it all.

From gigs to goals, festivals to “I do’s”… we’ve truly been driven this Bank Holiday... 🫶🏻🚌

🚌

We began life on 1st June 1964 when three local men, John Chell, Don Broughton, and Ted Barton launched Sleaford Taxi Company with just three taxis:

🚗 1960 Ford Consul
🚗 1959 Ford Consul
🚗 1960 Vauxhall Victor

Originally based on North Parade, Sleaford, the business covered a total of 95,180 miles in its very first year!

Just a few weeks later, on 10th July 1964, the business was officially incorporated as a limited company.

💬 Fast forward to today…
