This little duck no. 4882 was left by one of our lovely families in support of Cancer awareness Cmducks
We hope she enjoys her holiday adventures here on the farm before she is found by one of our eagle eyed guests and her adventures continue 🩷

In the meantime ...we think shes having fun, here's what she's been up too!!

With Father's Day fast approaching, ( crazy I know!!) June is a perfect time to squeeze in an extra special family break in beautiful North Devon.

Inspired by the recent wonderful Salt Path film, that we managed to see this week, we thought we'd share some of our most popular places ( many feature in the film )....we were the annoying ones in the cinema who kept oohing and arrhhing and getting excited each time we saw a familiar part of our stunning coastline!
So here's a few pics of ours but we'd love to see yours too if youre with us this summer.

Anyway...back to the 'dads', ....tell them there's super comfy beds, a private hot tub to relax in, a massage available from the wonderful Emily or Lisa and the children entertained by Farmer Rog! ( we'll not broadcast that bit too much in the farmhouse though!)

An incredible May half term once again.
Despite a relatively poor weather forecast we did sooo well and enjoyed loads of unexpected sun and outdoor fun, including some field time with the animals PLUS a rather brave ( and soggy) Lamb Bath session where Curly and Wurly got a much needed wash!! 🧼🛁🐑
In amongst our usual farm sessions and holiday clubs, we were also lucky enough to get ducklings hatch and the warm evenings meant that the bats were flying so out came 'Farmer Roger' for another of his popular bat walks!

Thankyou as always to Tangled With Nature with running a great activity session on Wednesday where the children got to be creative outdoors and fire seed balls from the catapult..actually not just the children!!!..this was clearly competitive 😆

Thankyou too, to ALL our fabulous 'farmers' who ranged from 3 years to 16 years and of course to our brilliant team who made it all possible.
We are grateful to everyone who continues to support our farm business and UK tourism and look forward to many more fun weeks ahead as we move into summer.

Happy Whitsun week to everyone!
Sun is shining today so are making the most of it! Loads of fun planned including a session with the giant catapult on Wednesday at Free Rangers, and hopefully a Bat Walk one evening and the ever popular Farm Hands club with Farmer Roger, as well as LOADS of farm fun with the animals, so will keep you posted.

We are fully booked here at the farm for this massively popular week but are already taking bookings for 2026 and have only 3 spaces left ( Katies Corner, Tom Kitten snd Squirrel Nutkin) so be quick and message us if interested!!

For those of you looking for summer hols on the farm later this year, we have a couple of August weeks remaining for anyone looking for some summer fun...get in touch for details and prices.

As our 3rd Easter school holiday weeks draws to a close, we look back on what has so far been an incredible April.

As always our highlight has been our two new lambs Curly and Wurly, who, it's fair to say have been given a special place in many of our 'farmers' hearts this year...and our own🥰

Our chicks were very late hatching but joined us in the 3rd week together with some lovely Indian runner ducklings which have entertained everyone over the last few days. Thankyou to 'Frans Free Range Poultry' for helping out x

Easter Egg Hunts were held each week which meant 3 guest appearances from the one and only Big Yellow ( who never seems to age and who has some great chicken moves which he shares with us each year😆)
Other fun included Farm Hands and Free Rangers clubs ( shout out to Tangled With Nature who once again delivered some brilliant activities)

Biscuit decorating which we assumed ( wrongly) would be popular just with the younger guests...it appears that it's also very popular with the over 16's 😍..and of course the start of our Bat Walks ( and talks) with our very own Bat'expert!!..these will run all the way through the summer now and whilst usually just in the school hols, we run them anytime if the demand is there so please don't hesitate to ask us if you have a non school holiday booked over the summer months.

What's next...well a full house for our May Day weekend so fingers crossed for more fabulous weather

A special welcome to our 2 newest members of the "farm team"...
Meet Curly and Wurly, two little ewe lambs who needed a helping hand in life and who join us on the farm for many happy days ahead...and a fun filled Easter!

Born on the 27th March, they have already settled well on to a bottle and are coming out for Mothers Day cuddles tonight at feeding for the first time.
Thankyou to ALL our farmers for name suggestions... Farmer Emily was very grateful and we hope you all get to meet them at some point this year.

Bottle feeding will run until June for anyone hoping to help out and our Lambs on Leads activities will run until September!

Countdown to Easter and our orphan baby lambs arriving is well and truly underway now.

If any of you can think of at least 2 great names for our new arrivals then please add them below, they'll get passed on as ideas to our resident "Lamb leader" : Farmer Emily ( or Lamb'ily...as we all call her in the family!)

What else??...well...there'll be egg hunts with the famous Big Yellow!!, ( unmissable), Easter activities, ( tons of them) farm clubs ( every week), sheep trekking! ( wish us luck on that one! 😂) , lamb cuddles (LOTS!) Many many bottle feeding opportunities, chicks ( 🤞) real Easter bunnies to hold!! ...and of course the chance to meet ALL our animals PLUS our new boys on the block Roobarb and Stripey Legs the donkeys 🥰

For those that need to unwind and want relaxation then your Hot Tub will be waiting, our fabulous range of Jackchilli meals to save you cooking, and lastly our fabulous therapists to offer massages, facials, reflexology, and all kinds of pampering.

If any of our 'families' are lucky enough to be off school until 25th April get in touch. We have just 1 space remaining in our Squirrel Nutkin cottage ( sleeping up to 6/7) from Sat 19th April ( details on our website)but freel free to call for more information.

Well done February Half Term 2025 , you were fabulous!

CareMoor Champions are businesses and organisations that go the extra mile to raise funds to keep Exmoor special and our particular thanks goes to Julie ( Rural Enterprise Co-ordinator) for all her support.

Funds raised by CareMoor help restore habitats protect rare species, improve river crossings, safeguard Exmoors heritage, pay for nest and roosting boxes, replace gates and stiles, combat path erosion and more!!

Many of you will be huge fans of Exmoor already and will have spent many happy times enjoying everything it offers from walks, night sky stargazing, scenic spots ( one of our faves is Tarr Steps!) ..special events, or simply enjoying the amazing wildlife.

For 2025 we will be hoping to raise even more awareness about the National Park and it's amazing work, and in addition to the new collection box in the Games Room, we will also be pledging 10% from every Animal Adoption Pack sold this year. ... if any of you can help that would be amazing ( see adoption link below) and thankyou in advance xx

Whoo hoo...The new girls have arrived!
Many of you will know that re homing ex battery hens and supporting the work of the British Hen Welfare Trust is something we do here as often as we possibly can.
Following a re homing request last week we are very excited to Introduce you to our 8 newest members of the 'farm team'!!
As always some are in a pretty sorry state so an awful of TLC is needed ...BUT we are very pleased already with their progress.
They are scratching about, roosting well, enjoying the wind in their feathers and venturing outside of their hen house with much more confidence now.
Our 'older' girls are being kept separate just for the moment but are already introducing themselves as you can imagine!! 😆
