𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁'𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗰𝗿𝘂𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿! 🚢

It's nearly time to head home after a lovely week onboard MSC Virtuosa! ✨

I have to admit, after being thoroughly spoilt in Yacht Club last cruise, I really did miss it for the first couple of days however when the ship got a bit rocky, I was actually quite glad I wasn't up on Deck 16, right at the front of the ship! 🌊🤢

It's been interesting experiencing two very different sides of the same ship. Yacht Club was absolutely amazing, but we've still had a great time this week in our regular balcony cabin. 💙

Having had our last 3 cruises on this ship, it's time for a change now though and our next three cruises will all be with different cruise lines! I'm really looking forward to experiencing something different and sharing those experiences too.🫶🏼

For now though, it's time to finish packing and enjoy our last evening onboard! 🎉

It's looking a little spooky onboard MSC Virtuosa today! 🐈‍⬛🕸️

The ship has been getting into the Halloween spirit with decorations popping up everywhere, including a Halloween section in the buffet! 🗡️🍰 They've made such a great effort, it's really lovely to see! 🧛🏼‍♀️

"𝗝𝗨𝗦𝗧 𝗟𝗜𝗞𝗘 𝗕𝗨𝗧𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗦 𝗔𝗧 𝗦𝗘𝗔!"🚢🎡🎉

I've literally just had someone walk past me seeing the ship is "just like Butlin's at sea"… and it's certainly not the first time I've heard cruising described that way! And to be fair, I can kind of understand where the comparison comes from...

Lots of people, entertainment, buffets, swimming pools and activities throughout the day… there are definitely some similarities! 💃🏼

But having been to Butlin's myself (more than once!😉 ), I personally think that's pretty much where the similarities end.

For me, there's so much more to a cruise holiday... the incredible restaurants, the amazing service, the facilities, the atmosphere and, of course, the fact that you're travelling to different destinations along the way! 🌍🛳️

And whilst some of the bigger, family-friendly ships can certainly be lively, I don't think that automatically makes them "Butlin's at sea".

So I'm interested… would you describe cruising as 'Butlin's at sea'? 🥳

And if you've cruised before, what would you say to someone who thinks that's what cruising is like? 🌊

☀️🛳️ 𝗙𝗜𝗡𝗗𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗙𝗘𝗖𝗧 𝗙𝗔𝗠𝗜𝗟𝗬 𝗖𝗥𝗨𝗜𝗦𝗘!🛳️☀️

I've just been spending my morning at sea sending over some cruise options and prices for a family hoping to enjoy some summer sunshine sailing from Southampton next year, and it's a lovely reminder of just how much choice there is when it comes to cruising! 🥰

I've been comparing various different cruise lines and looking at everything from the ships themselves and what's available onboard, to the itineraries, cabin options and, of course, the overall cost. It's amazing how different cruises can be, even when they're visiting similar destinations! ️🌍

That's one of the things I love about what I do - it's not just about finding the cheapest cruise available, but finding one that's the right fit for the people travelling. ❤️

Some families want lots of activities and entertainment, others are more interested in the destinations, and sometimes it's about finding the best balance of everything within a budget. 🛳

So if you're thinking about a cruise but aren't quite sure where to start, or which cruise line might suit you best, I'd be happy to help! 💙

⚠️ 𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗘𝗥𝗔𝗥𝗬 𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗘 – 𝗠𝗦𝗖 𝗩𝗜𝗥𝗧𝗨𝗢𝗦𝗔 𝗗𝗘𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗦𝗢𝗨𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗠𝗣𝗧𝗢𝗡 𝗧𝗢𝗗𝗔𝗬! ⚠️🚢

For anyone boarding MSC Virtuosa today (24th October), there are reports of a change to the planned itinerary.

I haven't received any official communication from MSC myself yet, but the revised itinerary is apparently as follows:

🌊 Overnight onboard in Southampton tonight

❌ La Rochelle and Le Havre – no longer being visited

✅ Vigo, Spain – added to the itinerary instead

What does everyone think of the change? 🇪🇸

Remember when I said our recent MSC Virtuosa cruise might be our last time onboard?

Well… turns out I spoke a little too soon! 😅

We only disembarked Virtuosa on Monday but this Saturday we're getting straight back onboard for another cruise! 🛳❤️

Unfortunately, despite me obsessively checking Yacht Club cabin availability for the last week, it looks like it's completely sold out.... 😭

So, we're back to our usual Fantastica Balcony cabin, and I think it's safe to say this is going to be a VERY different Virtuosa experience…

Last week: MSC Yacht Club – being thoroughly spoilt! 🥂✨
This week: Half-term family cruise – back to reality! 👩‍👩‍👧🎉

Same ship. Very different holiday! ❤️

And I promise… this one will DEFINITELY be the final goodbye! 👋💙

Although I'll be swapping my usual office for somewhere at sea, I'll still be contactable throughout the cruise and happy to help with any new cruise enquiries or bookings. 🛳

🛳✨𝗠𝗦𝗖 𝗬𝗔𝗖𝗛𝗧 𝗖𝗟𝗨𝗕 – 𝙄𝙎 𝙄𝙏 𝙒𝙊𝙍𝙏𝙃 𝙄𝙏? ✨🥂

After spending 4 nights experiencing MSC Yacht Club onboard MSC Virtuosa, I think it's safe to say the bar has been set VERY high! ❤️

I've already shared quite a bit about Yacht Club during our time onboard, but I wanted to share my overall thoughts now that we're home. ✨

For me, one of the biggest things was just how relaxed the whole experience felt. The staff were absolutely wonderful – so friendly, attentive and genuinely couldn't do enough for you. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble. 🥰

We loved having that little bit of extra space in our cabin, and the exclusive Top Sail Lounge and pool deck were lovely places to escape to. 🌊

One of our favourite things was heading up to the hot tub on the Yacht Club sundeck in the evening, without having to worry about it being busy or crowded. ✨

There was never an issue finding somewhere to sit, getting a drink or finding a table, and I really appreciated the convenience of having the Yacht Club restaurant rather than heading to the buffet. 👨🏻‍🍳

And then there were the little snacks and treats available throughout the day… including quite possibly THE BEST CRISPS I'VE EVER EATEN! I'm not even exaggerating. My partner is absolutely sick of hearing me go on about them, but honestly, they deserve a mention! 🤣🥔

It's those little things that, when added together, make such a difference to the overall experience. ✨

And if I'm being completely truthful, I'm struggling to think of a single negative! 😂

So, would we book Yacht Club again? In a heartbeat… if the budget allowed!

For us, this cruise was always going to be a special treat. We absolutely love MSC Virtuosa and genuinely didn't know whether we'd ever get the chance to sail on her again, so we decided to make what we thought might be our 'last' Virtuosa cruise that little bit more special.

Although, there's a little more to that story… but I'll save that for later in the week! 👀🛳

As much as we've loved every minute of Yacht Club, I'm also realistic. When it comes to booking our family holidays during the school holidays next year, I suspect we'll be back in our usual Fantastica balcony cabin – purely because of the difference in price!

And that's absolutely fine, because we already know how much we love cruising on MSC outside of Yacht Club too. ❤️

But for a special occasion, a treat, or simply if your budget allows, I can absolutely see why so many people book Yacht Club time and time again.

It's certainly going to be difficult not to compare future cruises to this one! 🤦🏼‍♀️
