✨Tickets for Mercatum 2026 are now on sale ✨

Following the huge success of last year, which saw Mercatum named in the UK press as one of the top ten Christmas markets in the country, this year’s event promises to be bigger, better and more captivating than ever, taking place over a 6-week period, from 11th November – 20th December.

As in previous years, Mercatum 2026 will take place in the beautifully decorated rooms, galleries and courtyard of Medieval Haddon. Over 750 talented artisans and makers will showcase their work over six weeks, with artisans changing each week, creating a luxurious and unique Christmas shopping experience. You’ll find a diverse range of crafts, including ceramics, art, chocolates, jewellery, candles, artisan stationery, perfumes, and much more, both inside and outside the Hall, all set against a truly festive backdrop.

As you explore medieval Haddon Hall, you’ll discover magnificent Christmas trees, twinkling lights, live music, warming food and drink, and a truly magical atmosphere that has made Mercatum a highlight of the festive calendar.

🎄Tickets are available for:
• Morning sessions (9.15am – 12.45pm)
• Afternoon sessions (1.00pm – 4.30pm)
• Green Travel tickets (arrival any time before 3.45pm, travelling by bus, bike or on foot – you are welcome to stay all day!)
• NEW Twilight tickets (3.00pm – 4.30pm), perfect for experiencing Mercatum as dusk falls and the Hall sparkles with festive lights.

Mercatum will run Wednesday to Sunday throughout the festive season (closed Mondays and Tuesdays) and tickets are expected to sell quickly so pre-booking is essential.

💚 Happy 75th birthday to the Peak District National Park! On 17 April 1951, these 555 square miles in the heart of England were officially designated as the UK’s first ever national park. The park was intended to provide a space where those living in the nearby cities could find fresh air, beauty and a connection with nature, and it still fulfils that purpose perfectly today.

🍃 The Peak District is not a twee rural museum but a working landscape, home to 38,000 people, and now visited by around 13 million every year. On this special anniversary I hope everyone who visits stops for a minute, looks about themselves and realises what a precious place this is, and seeks to protect it for all those who may follow in the future, for the next 75 years and far beyond.
