Stephen was delighted to attend the SPAA Awards in Glasgow last night, celebrating the very best of Scotland’s travel industry.

Always a brilliant evening, catching up with colleagues, suppliers and industry friends, celebrating success and, of course, raising money for a wonderful cause, Kidney Kids Scotland. ❤️

✨ A fantastic evening of networking, insights and inspiration in Edinburgh! ✨

It was a pleasure for Stephen to join Hays Travel Independence Group members and colleagues from across the wider Hays Travel network last night at the iconic Scotsman Picturehouse, Edinburgh, for an event hosted by our in-house tour operator, VISTA, alongside a fantastic range of supplier partners. 🌍✈️

With its unique setting and very own 48-seater cinema, it was a memorable venue for an evening packed with opportunities to connect, share success stories and hear the latest supplier insights, updates and product developments.

As part of the Hays Travel Independence Group, our members benefit from access to VISTA’s highly competitive supplier rates, helping our independent agents deliver even greater value and choice to their customers.

Events like these are a brilliant opportunity to strengthen relationships, share knowledge and keep discovering the latest products and opportunities to help our members grow their businesses. 🤝

Overseas Conference 2026 - "Be the Influencer" ✈️
Our annual overseas conference is creeping closer and we're so excited!

On the 9th November our agents will be heading over to the Trendy Lara and Trendy Perge in Türkiye for our largest ever overseas conference. ✨

For the first time, retail agents, including our brands, Miles Morgan Travel, Travel House, Spear Travels, Holiday and Flights Centre, Polka Dot Travel, and Millington Travel, will join Hays Travel Homeworking and Independence Group members for a joint conference. 🤝

Dame Irene, Owner and Director, said: "With more than 1,000 delegates attending, it will be our biggest conference to date.
We’re excited that for the first time ever, we will have representatives from across our whole group in the room at once."

The week will have a packed schedule of speakers, supplier showcases, and networking events to explore this years theme of "Be the Influencer". 🤳📸

Chief Operating Officer, Jonathon, said: "The theme, 'Be the Influencer', reflects the evolving ways we engage and inspire customers, and we're proud to support an event that champions innovation, learning and partnership."

This month marks one year since our Independence Group member, Cowbridge Travel, lost their much-loved colleague and friend, Kim Lougher.

Kim is missed beyond words and made a lasting impact on colleagues, customers and friends alike.

In memory of her wonderful mum, Kim's daughter, Ceri, has secured a place in the 2027 London Marathon and will be running to raise funds for the British Heart Foundation.

✨ A huge congratulations to Paul and the team at Spires Travel on the opening of their second shop in Malvern on Friday! 🎉🥂

Our Business Development Manager for the South, Amber, was delighted to attend the opening and celebrate this fantastic milestone with Paul and the team.

It was also wonderful to see so many of Paul’s previous students and apprentices there to show their support, many of whom are still working in the travel industry today. ❤️

Having so many people come along to celebrate is a real testament to the impact Paul has had on them during their time studying Travel & Tourism at Heart of Worcestershire College, where Spires Travel’s original branch is based.

The shop was so busy with customers throughout the day that there weren’t many opportunities to capture photos of the shop itself – but that’s certainly a lovely problem to have! 😊

It’s fantastic to see the lasting relationships built within our industry and the positive influence experienced travel professionals can have on the next generation.

Wishing Paul and the whole Spires Travel team every success with their exciting new chapter in Malvern! 🌍✈️

Our members are back on dry land after an epic Cruise Conference aboard the magnificent Queen Anne! 🛳️🥂

🌟 Bringing together colleagues from across the Hays Group, including Retail, Homeworking and IG, the conference was a fantastic opportunity to learn, connect, share experiences and be inspired.

📚 With an informative and fun-filled programme, members enjoyed the opportunity to spend time with our Head Office teams, meet leading supplier partners and benefit from their wealth of knowledge and cruise expertise.

🌍 Whether you're new to selling cruise or already an experienced cruise specialist, there was something for everyone! From gaining valuable insights and industry knowledge to discovering new opportunities and making connections, it was an experience not to be missed.

Experiences like these are just one of the many reasons to be part of The Hays Independence Group.

🌴 Destination Caribbean! 🇯🇲☀️

Today, Amber attended Travel Trade Events Destination Caribbean event at the gorgeous Botany Bay Hotel in Broadstairs and what a lovely afternoon it was!

It was fantastic to see so many of our IG members there, including Plan Your World, Designer Travel, Experience It Now Travel, Club Voyages and Not Just Trave. It was lovely to spend some time with you all! 💙

The training sessions were fantastic as always and really did make Amber feel like she’d been whisked away to the Caribbean for the afternoon! 🌴✈️

A big thank you to everyone for the amazing sessions, and a HUGE thank you as always to the fabulous Debbie for organising such an informative event, providing a delicious lunch and choosing such a stunning venue. 👏😊

What a lovely way to spend the afternoon!
