Stay on site or off site?
We did both!
We chose Cabana Bay for our Universal hotel as it’s right next to Volcano Bay waterpark and even has its own entrance path! Our room had the best view of the park!!
You also get an hours early park entry to Universal (epic, Volcano Bay or Islands of Adventure ) when staying in one of their hotels and we found this to be invaluable for getting on the big rides with little or no queue! It also wasn’t so hot!
Transport between all the hotels and parks is included and runs every 10 mins or so!

We used “Waymo” a lot in Florida. Just like uber you pay and control from an app and it was actually quicker to arrive than uber on many occasions! Would you try a driverless car??

🌴✈️ I’m officially out of office for the next two weeks enjoying some family time in Florida! We’re trying out Premium Class on TUI’s 787 Dreamliner to see if it’s worth the upgrade, hitting the theme parks, including the brand new Epic Universe (my Mario mad son is VERY excited about this one! 🍄🎮), and of course, no holiday of mine would be complete without some time at sea! 🚢 We’re also setting sail with MSC to the Bahamas, including a visit to their beautiful private island, Ocean Cay. 🏝️

Had a lovely afternoon today with the travel students at Invergordon Academy ✈️ We chatted about careers, different options for their future and potential apprenticeships, as well as getting stuck into some of their current modules and work. It was really nice to chat with them, answer their questions and hopefully give them a bit of inspiration for what’s ahead. I’ll also be back to help them with interview preparation in the future, which I’m really looking forward to! 😊
