Have you ever seen this part of St. Editha's before?

This is one of the oldest parts of the church - you can tell because of the "Barley Twist" column by the window, which was a popular design in the late Anglo-Saxon period. It's an area of the church that survived the Great Fire of Tamworth, in 1345.

This was likely originally an outside wall - and we can tell that because the stone is weathered as if it's been standing in the rain. It's not quite clear how and when it was built on to. It currently forms an inner wall, to the south of the Chancel.

The holes above the memorial tablet on the photo are said to have been caused by careless soldiers discharging their muskets in the church during the Civil War, but we haven't been able to prove that yet!

Our officers in Aberdeen are working to reunite a lost urn with its owner.

The small red urn is wrapped in purple and white artificial flowers, and held by a small brown teddy bear.

It's believed to have been left on an LNER service travelling from London Kings Cross to Aberdeen and was subsequently handed into lost property upon the train's arrival in Aberdeen.

Based on the information available, it may have been lost at some point within the last four months.

BTP PC Gary Herning said:
"The urn appears to contain human ashes or remains and will clearly be of enormous sentimental value to someone.

"Unfortunately, we have no further information on where the owner may have boarded or alighted during the journey. We're issuing the appeal in the hope that the individual or family concerned will reach out to us so that we can arrange its safe return."
