It is a pleasure to have our local P6 and P7’s on the water with us this week.

It is fantastic to see the local school valuing sailing as a life skill. Growing up beside the water is a unique privilege, and learning to sail helps children build confidence, independence and an appreciation of the marine environment while making the most of the incredible natural resources we have here in the Kyles of Bute.

This glorious weather has definitely got us in the mood for sailing ⛵️☀️😎

We’ve now only got ONE WEEK LEFT of sailing school this summer holiday season, week starting 3rd August.

It’s the perfect chance for young sailors to get out on the water, build confidence, and have a brilliant time on the water, whether they’re complete beginners or already have the bug!

✨ Since 1965,Young Sailors Have Been Finding Their Sea Legs in Tighnabruaich ⛵

We recently uncovered a sailing school brochure from 1971 (check out the prices of the sailing and hotels!!), promising personal teaching, stunning scenery and ideal waters for learning to sail.

More than 55 years later, that promise still holds true.

Capturing an action shot on the water is so much harder than it looks. The wind, waves, spray and light all move faster than you can frame the moment.

Yesterday’s conditions made the sailing very exciting and nearly impossible to capture!
