There’s what you say… and then there’s what I hear as your travel expert.
“Somewhere unspoilt, but with plenty going on.”
“We want to see everything, but we don’t want to feel rushed.”
“A family hotel, but not one that feels too family-ish.”
“We’re open to anywhere, we just want somewhere hot.”
After 8 years of planning holidays, I’ve become fairly fluent in translating a travel brief.
Because “luxury” doesn’t always mean the most expensive hotel. “Family-friendly” doesn’t have to mean a giant mascot joining you at breakfast. And “seeing everything” shouldn’t leave you needing another holiday to recover.
Often, the most useful part of our first conversation isn’t deciding where to go. It’s working out how you want the holiday to feel, what matters most and where you’re happy to compromise.
That’s how a vague, occasionally contradictory collection of ideas becomes a tailor-made holiday that genuinely suits you.
