“Bones Muscles Tendons Ligaments” 7pm 2hrs Online 17th June Ideal for BHS & PC Exam Training, everyone welcome, counts as 2pts CPD. 
Carrying on from this weeks presentation on conformation we identify the damage & diseases that affect these structures & the implications on the horses future use. Covering; how the skeleton is supported and put into motion by these tissues, & how the horses musculature reflects his work. We will cover OCD, epiphisitis, navicular, pedal ostitis, ring bone, side bone, splints, spavins, kissing spines, wobbler and shiverer syndrome, sacroiliac issues, fractures, tendon damage, suspensory desmitis, the use of autologous treatments, PRP, IRAP & stem cell. £23 the session will be recorded and can be sent on the following day if you are not able to attend live. Cross Country Training with BE Coach Sarah Simpson BHSI 28thJune at Woodlands Training, Woodlands Farm, Worksop S81 8DB the going is perfect! there are fences suitable for the “novice & nervous” “An introduction to cross country” session, up to 1.10. The early sessions are to establish confidence, balance & rhythm in the canter on the flat & on a slight incline, ideal for young horses, we will introduce small ditches, steps,  banks, ditches & skinnies, each combination will progress at their own rate, with developing confidence being the most important factor. The later sessions will progress to include combinations, using jump4joy fences to create more technical combinations & lines with ditches, banks, uphill / downhill & boundary fences.  Maintaining safety & developing horse & rider confidence is a high priority.
“Stage 3 Coach” XC observers are welcome by arrangement. Small groups £45 90min sessions.

Conformation 7pm 10th June 2hrs Online Counts 2pts CPD all welcome. Ideal for those working for BHS & PC higher level exams. Every aspect of static & dynamic conformation is covered with numerous case studies. This session will give you a clear logical plan for evaluating the horses, strengths & weaknesses, an understanding of the impact of these, the vocabulary to express yourself & the confidence to give an opinion. Linear scoring & identifying unlevelness explained. If you ever wondered about the impact of a horse being base wide/narrow over/back at the knee, the impact of sickle hocks , straight through the hock, sway/roach back, long or short back, slab sided, being uphill or downhill and many more issues, you’ll be able to identify these & understand the impact on the horses, soundness & longevity. A linked session the following week covers diseases affecting the bones, muscles, tendons & ligaments. We cover a vast range of osteoarthritic & soft tissue conditions, including bursal and synovial conditions that a horse with weak conformation will be prone to which you need to be able to identify.
