🏀 A Season to Remember!
For the second time, our team joined the Corporate Basketball League of Heraklion — and what a journey it’s been!
Last Friday, we played our final game of the season with passion, teamwork, and determination. We proudly secured the 3rd place in our group and, for the first time, qualified for the next round, where the top three teams of each group competed.
Among 21 participating teams, we achieved a strong 9th place overall — a result that reflects our progress and commitment on and off the court.

A huge thank you to every player who gave their all and kept the energy high throughout the season, and to our coaches who guided and supported the team both technically and mentally during training and matches.
And of course, to our incredible supporters, whose cheers and encouragement lifted the team every step of the way!

We are proud of this achievement and our ambitions are only rising. We can’t wait for next season!

Every year, we train. Every year, we grow stronger.

Our annual First Aid Training isn’t just a routine — it’s a reflection of how much we value the safety and wellbeing of our people, and by extension, the local community.

This year, we welcomed new colleagues into our First Aid response team, refreshed our essential skills, and placed special focus on the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED), now part of our safety equipment at the head offices.
We continuously invest in knowledge, tools, and teamwork to protect what matters most — because in critical moments, the ability to respond effectively can make all the difference.
This is how we build a workplace where safety and responsibility go hand in hand.

Evacuation Exercise | May 21, 2025

At the K.Badouvas- Group of Companies, safeguarding our people is more than a responsibility — it’s a commitment we act on every day.

Since the launch of our Emergency Action Plan in 2021, in cooperation with ErgoProlipsis, we’ve made it a priority to conduct an annual spring evacuation exercise at our main offices in Heraklion.
Each year, the exercise is based on a different scenario — from fire incidents to natural disaster simulations -because real preparedness means being ready for any risk that might require a swift and safe evacuation.
These annual drills also provide a valuable opportunity to review and fine-tune our protocols wherever needed.

Our designated emergency response teams — trained in evacuation coordination, fire safety, and first aid — play a vital role in these drills.
Their ongoing training ensures confidence, clarity, and coordination when it matters most.

Looking ahead, we plan to extend these evacuation exercises to our hotel properties — ensuring the same high standards of safety and preparedness apply across every part of our Group.
Because the safety of our people always comes first — and with awareness, preparation, and teamwork, we’re building a safer workplace for everyone.

We are delighted to welcome Michalis Daskalakis, who will take on the newly created position of Chief Hospitality Officer (CHO) within the management of the K. Badouvas - Group of Companies, overseeing the hotel activities of the Group. With the addition of Paralos Rodos Lifestyle, the Group now owns four hotels together with Paralos Kosta Alímia, Paralos Lifestyle Beach and Paralos Venus Suites, with a total capacity of 530 rooms.
The creation of this position was a necessity and clearly shows the importance of “Hospitality” the Group’s third pillar of activities, alongside the DMC and car rental.

The extensive experience of Michalis in senior management roles at some of Crete’s most renowned hotels, combined with his education, personality and character will be instrumental in ensuring the continuation of the operational excellence across our hotels, which are managed by Paralos Hospitality - Hotel Management Company, and will also support the future growth of the Group’s Hospitality sector.

We are confident that Michalis will excel in his new role, marking an exciting and challenging new chapter in his already distinguished career in the hospitality industry.
