Indulge in a tasting journey, sampling our recommended labels ❣️🍯❣️
At the furthest south part of Europe, on the island of Crete, produced a distinctive type of Cretan honey in environments where late-blooming thyme coexists with pine forests, resulting in a unique botanical profile.Tirelessly, man’s best friend, the bee collects and blends naturally these two different types of honey to offer a one of a kind product 🌲🐝🌸
Its aroma combines herbal and floral notes from thyme with subtle resinous and woody undertones from pine, while the taste is balanced, moderately sweet, and persistent. The texture is relatively dense and stable, with lower moisture content and slower crystallization compared to typical blossom honeys.
At the "Apithano" Honey Museum, tasting honey is more than a moment, it's a journey through aroma, flavor and tradition of Crete.
And we're here to share it with you.
