CHECK-IN: Once dubbed the “finest hotel east of the Suez”, and the “Grand Dame of the Far East”, The Peninsula Hong Kong will celebrate 100 years of opening in 2028. Much of the hotel - with its original structure, as well as the seamless addition of the Tower in 1994 - has become an institution in and of itself, which places it in a unique spotlight as it navigates a change into a fast moving future, with renovations to come to mark 100 years. “The Pen”, as it’s affectionately known, isn’t new to change though, having seen it all over the years and even actively being a part of it, with many ‘firsts’z An excellent stay overall, but exciting to see what comes next - with definitely a few changes required to continue being a pioneer of luxury in 2026 and beyond.
