Important Update: New Sloth Park Guidelines

In collaboration with local sloth parks and the Honduran government, we’re updating our Sloth Park Tours to better protect these incredible animals. Starting April 1st, 2025, our tours will offer respectful, close-up encounters without any physical handling of the sloths.

This change is part of a shared commitment to the sloths’ well-being and helps create a more sustainable environment for them. You’ll still enjoy amazing photo opportunities and a meaningful connection with Roatán’s wildlife—just in a more ethical and responsible way.

If you booked a tour that originally included the sloth park, please reach out to us. We’ll be happy to explain the new experience in more detail or help you choose from our other exciting and eco-friendly tours.

Its official Daniel Johnson's Sloth Park now is a no-contact park especially for the sloths. Please note that we will still be able to visit the parks, including Victor Boddens Sloth Park, but you won't be able to hug the sloths due to government regulations.

Importante Update on Sloth Parks:
As of April 1st you will be able to get close to the sloths and take a selfie with them. You will be able to get very close to them learn about them and also take a nice selfie with them.

As far as the Monkeys and Macaws, you will be able to interact with them and also take pictures with them up close, and well as you know, the monkeys jump on you we can’t control that. LoL

The three major parks on the island have sent a note requesting a review of this wildlife measures that have been taken so there is a possibility that the three major parks on the Island,  will be permitted to allow their guest to hug the sloths. This is still up in the air, but the request has been made. 

If you guys have any further questions, just let me know. I’m more than happy to help you guys out and answer all your questions about this issue. Again, remember these measurements have been taken into effect to protect the wildlife on the island and protect the monkeys and the sloths.

!!!!Important Update on Sloths and Monkeys News!!!!!

As of now, the regulations prohibiting the handling of sloths and monkeys in Honduras have not been officially enforced. However, we are closely monitoring the situation, and if any changes arise that affect your excursion, we will notify you in advance.

For the time being, your tour will proceed as scheduled, allowing you to interact with these animals. If the government enforces the new regulations, we will make the necessary adjustments and keep you informed before your arrival.
