🍠Working the Land, Blessing Families
Today we had the privilege of working in the fields together with My Jewish Savior Ministry, picking sweet potatoes that will soon make their way to families in need across Israel through Leket Israel.
There is something especially meaningful about doing this as we approach Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year — getting our hands into the soil of Israel and helping make sure that families can celebrate the holidays with food on their tables.
Thousands of years ago, the Torah taught that the blessings of the land were never meant for us alone:
“When you reap the harvest of your land, do not reap to the very edges of your field… Leave them for the poor and for the foreigner.”
— Leviticus 19:9–10
Today, that ancient commandment came to life in a very practical way: one field, many hands, and a harvest that will become a blessing to others.
Thank you to My Jewish Savior Ministry for serving alongside us, and to Leket Israel for the incredible work they do every day rescuing fresh food and bringing it to those who need it most.
May this coming year be a year of provision, generosity, and blessing.
