Happy Diwali Everyone โœจ๏ธ โœจ๏ธ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŽŠ

Diwali, also known as the Festival of Lights, is one of the most celebrated festivals in India. It symbolizes the victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance.

People light diyas (oil lamps), decorate their homes, wear new clothes, exchange sweets and gifts, and celebrate with fireworks.
Spiritually, it marks Lord Ramaโ€™s return to Ayodhya after defeating Ravana, and itโ€™s also associated with Goddess Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth and prosperity.

Itโ€™s a time for joy, togetherness, and new beginnings.

Wishing you and your family a safe, sparkling, and blissful Diwali!

May this Dhanteras bring you endless wealth, good health, and happiness. Happy Dhanteras!

Dhanteras, also known as Dhantrayodashi, marks the first day of the five-day Diwali festival. It falls on the thirteenth day (Trayodashi) of the Krishna Paksha in the month of Kartik (Octoberโ€“November).

On this day, people worship Lord Dhanvantari (the god of health and Ayurveda) and Goddess Lakshmi (the goddess of wealth). It is believed that buying gold, silver, utensils, or new items on Dhanteras brings prosperity and good luck. Homes are cleaned and decorated with rangoli and diyas, symbolizing light, wealth, and happiness.

Significance:

Brings blessings of health, wealth, and prosperity.

Marks the beginning of Diwali celebrations.

Encourages people to value cleanliness, light, and positivity.

Happy Karwa Chauth ๐ŸŒผ๐ŸŽŠ

Karwa Chauth is one of the most cherished festivals celebrated mainly in North India, especially by married Hindu women. It symbolizes love, devotion, and the sacred bond of marriage.

๐ŸŒธ Significance:

On this day, married women observe a day-long fast from sunrise to moonrise for the long life, health, and prosperity of their husbands. Itโ€™s also celebrated by some unmarried women who wish for a good life partner.

๐ŸŒž The Rituals:

1. Early Morning (Sargi):
The day begins before sunrise when women eat the special pre-dawn meal called Sargi, prepared by their mother-in-law.

2. Daytime Fasting:
After sunrise, women observe a strict fast โ€” without food or water โ€” throughout the day. They spend the day dressing beautifully, applying mehendi (henna), and praying to Goddess Parvati for marital bliss.

3. Evening Puja:
In the evening, women gather together to perform the Karwa Chauth puja, listening to the Karwa Chauth Katha (story) which explains the importance and history of the festival.

4. Moonrise Ritual:
Once the moon appears, women look at the moon through a sieve or cloth, offer arghya (water) to it, and then look at their husband through the same sieve. The husband then offers water or food to his wife, marking the end of the fast.

Gandhi Jayanti โ€“ 2nd October
Gandhi Jayanti is celebrated every year on 2nd October to honor the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of the Nation. He was a great leader who followed the path of truth (Satya) and non-violence (Ahimsa) to fight against British rule and lead India towards independence.

On this day, people across India pay tribute to him by organizing prayer services, cultural programs, and cleanliness drives. His values of simplicity, peace, tolerance, and respect for all continue to inspire the world.

This day is also observed as the International Day of Non-Violence by the United Nations, spreading his message of peace and harmony globally.

Dussehra in India is celebrated to show that good always wins over evil. It reminds us of Lord Ramโ€™s victory over Ravana and Goddess Durgaโ€™s victory over Mahishasura. People celebrate it with prayers, family gatherings, and by burning effigies of Ravana.

Happy Dussehra to you all.
