Jaipur-Ajmer-Sambhar Itinerary
Day 1: Delhi to Jaipur
Enjoy a smooth drive along the expressway, with options to stop for lunch at western-style food courts or hygienic Indian restaurants. Arrive in Jaipur by evening, check in to your hotel, and head to the Water Palace (Jal Mahal) to admire its illuminated beauty and take a refreshing evening stroll.
Day 2: Jaipur to Ajmer
Start with a brief stop at Amer Fort to admire its grandeur and the elephants at its gates. Visit the Water Palace by day, enjoy coffee on its scenic boulevard with local souvenirs, and explore a nearby shop offering handcrafted jewelry and block prints.
Later, visit the Elephant Stables for activities such as walking with, patting, or riding elephants. In the afternoon, drive to Ajmer, where you’ll explore Anasagar Lake and enjoy a relaxing lakeside stroll. After checking into your hotel, return to the lake to blend in with the lively evening crowd and try local street food.
Day 3: Ajmer to Sambhar
Have breakfast by the lake before driving to Sambhar via scenic village routes. Explore Sambhar Salt Lake, India’s largest inland salt lake, before heading to a serene resort, perfect for relaxing, stargazing, or spotting flamingos.
Day 4: Sambhar to Delhi
Spend the morning relaxing or learning about Sambhar’s salt production history. Then, enjoy a scenic drive back to Delhi, marking the end of your trip.
