Six months of tours in the books, and the data doesn't lie: you ALL want the Walking Tour + Accademia. 28 bookings. Almost 30% of everything I did this year. David is basically paying my rent at this point, and honestly? Fair. He's got abs of marble and zero personality flaws.

Add the Walking Tour Firenze and the Uffizi, and boom — that's 6 out of 10 tourists in Tuscany right there, chasing the same 3 things. 🏛️🎨

Do I blame you? Absolutely not. Renaissance greatest hits exist for a reason.

BUT.

Can we talk about the Oltrarno artisans tour for a second? 🛠️✨ Eight brave souls booked it this year. EIGHT. Meanwhile you're out here elbowing strangers for a photo with a 500-year-old statue, and two streets away there's a guy who can teach you how actual Florentine leather is made, no crowds, no queues, just genuine craft and probably an espresso.

The artisans deserve better marketing. And apparently a personality transplant, because clearly "quiet, real, less Instagrammable" isn't selling like "iconic, famous, everyone's-been-there."

So here's my challenge to you: next time you're in Florence, book the tour NOBODY is booking. I promise it won't disappoint — and you'll actually have something to talk about at dinner that isn't "have you seen the David."

🚨 Big news! (Well... not completely new if you've been keeping an eye on my website.)

"Santa Maria Novella was Florence’s first cathedral"

Not quite — but I heard this from unofficial guides!

📍**Santa Maria Novella** is one of the most important **Dominican churches** in Florence, but it was **never the city’s cathedral**.

⛪ The *first* official cathedral of Florence was **San Lorenzo**, consecrated in **393 AD**, long before Santa Maria Novella was even started.

Later, the title of cathedral was transferred to **Santa Reparata** (which once stood beneath today’s Duomo), and eventually to **Santa Maria del Fiore**, the current cathedral.
