🐝 May 20 – World Bee Day
A day to remind us of the crucial role of pollinators!
CREA AA Bologna, in collaboration with the Cinque Terre National Park, is conducting a census of wild bee species, with a focus on rare and vulnerable ones. The goal? To document local biodiversity and raise awareness about the importance of protecting pollinators.

🌿 May 22 – International Day for Biological Diversity
Join the Park’s guided hike from Levanto to Monterosso with an environmental guide.

🏞️ May 24 – European Day of Parks
Another free hike, this time along the Via dei Ciàn trail, from Manarola to Corniglia via Volastra, led by an environmental guide.

Una giornata per ricordare il ruolo fondamentale degli impollinatori!
Il CREA AA Bologna, in collaborazione con il Parco Nazionale delle Cinque Terre, sta conducendo un censimento delle specie di api selvatiche, con un focus su quelle rare e vulnerabili. L’obiettivo? Documentare la biodiversità locale e sensibilizzare sull’importanza della protezione degli impollinatori.

🌿 22 maggio – Giornata Internazionale della Biodiversità
Partecipa all’escursione guidata dal Parco da Levanto a Monterosso con guida ambientale.

🏞️ 24 maggio – Giornata Europea dei Parchi
Un’altra escursione gratuita, questa volta lungo il sentiero Via dei Ciàn, da Manarola a Corniglia passando per Volastra, con guida ambientale.

📍 What to Do in Corniglia, Cinque Terre
Nestled among vineyards perched above the sea and stone-paved alleys, Corniglia is the heart of the Cinque Terre. It's less crowded than the other villages because it sits on a hill and is harder to reach—but trust us, it’s absolutely worth it! 💚

✨ Here are 6 experiences you shouldn't miss:
🌿 Climb the Lardarina, a panoramic staircase offering breathtaking views of the coastline.
🍋 Wander through the narrow “carruggi” and discover hidden corners and stunning views.
🍦 Try a granita made from Corniglia’s natural lemons or a scoop of basil gelato from a local gelateria.
⛪ Visit the 18th-century Largo Taragio square, with its Oratory of Santa Caterina and the Church of San Pietro, a beautiful example of Ligurian Gothic architecture.

👰🏼🎂 Organizzare un addio al nubilato indimenticabile è un’impresa speciale, soprattutto quando la location è una delle più affascinanti d’Italia: le Cinque Terre. Questo paradiso naturale, famoso per i suoi borghi pittoreschi e le acque cristalline, offre il mix perfetto di relax, avventura e divertimento.

Può essere però anche un’impresa ardua, soprattutto se non si conosce bene il posto. Oltre al fattore “quantità di persone” che può rendere difficile trovare posti disponibili per tutte, c’è anche il fattore “differenze” che incombe, pertanto bisogna essere abbastanza abili e riuscire a soddisfare i gusti di tutte le partecipanti.

✨ 💚 Coming to March to the Five Terres could turn out to be a really wise choice. Why ?
We give you at least 5 reasons:

1⃣ First of all, because temperatures will be getting warmer, and since this is a place to be enjoyed 90% outdoors, finding sunny and warm days can really make a difference. After all, spring is on its way.

2⃣ It’s not high season yet. You have to wait at least until April to see the Cinque Terre getting much busier, so in March, you can fully enjoy the silence and tranquility of nature. We recommend staying at least two or three days to go hiking.
For years, we have been offering trekking packages that include accommodation, maps, dinner, tastings, and, where needed, even luggage transportation.

3⃣ If you are not only looking for peace in nature but also want some social life and vibrancy, we suggest visiting the San Giuseppe Fair on March 17, 18, and 19. It is a bit chaotic but truly authentic, an unmissable event for all locals from La Spezia.

4⃣ Seek the sun, explore everywhere, the Cinque Terre and the Gulf. Do not miss Portovenere, but also small gems like Tellaro, San Terenzo, and Lerici. Ferry services resume on March 29.

5⃣ Restaurants, wine bars, and street food spots reopen after the seasonal break. This is the perfect time to taste local delicacies. Which ones? For example, focaccia, pesto, anchovies, mussels, and why not, since we are by the sea, a delicious fried seafood mix?
