Fam Trip Day Two | Lake Maggiore

Refreshed from a luxurious night at Villa Crespi, we travelled on to Lake Maggiore.

Our private boat from Stresa took us across the water to Isola Bella, an island with an extraordinary Baroque palace adorned with priceless art and lavish decor.

We sailed on to Isola dei Pescatori, taking in lakeside villas and Eremo di Santa Caterina, a monastery whose origins date back to the 12th century, along the way. We arrived at Casabella for lunch, before exploring the island’s quaint fishing villages - a real contrast to the opulence of Isola Bella!

We retired for the evening to Boutique Hotel Stresa: formerly a grand private residence during the Belle Epoque, it now serves as charming, intimate lakeside hotel.

We enjoyed dinner there and ended our stay with a beautiful breakfast of fresh bread, ricotta, honey & lemon zest.

FAM Trip Day One | Lake Orta

We arrived at Lake Orta for a light lunch before taking a private boat to explore the island of Isola San Giulio with its impressive 900 year old Benedictine Abbey. The cobbled streets of Orta San Giulio followed, taking in the stunning lakeside scenery and tranquil village atmosphere.

We checked in for the night at Villa Crespi, a breathtaking Relais & Chateaux 5* hotel.

Inspired by Middle Eastern architecture it is the jewel of Lake Orta - a truly extraordinary stay. It is also home to three star Michelin chef, Antonino Cannavacciulo’s restaurant.

Dinner was at Laqua Lake, part of his hospitality collection. A boutique hotel with contemporary interiors, beach club and a gourmet restaurant.

Much of Northwest Italy is unspoilt, remaining a rural idyll.

The region is blessed with unspoilt forests, such as Oasi Zegna, a sanctuary of 100km2 of mountain woodlands and terrain, where you can immerse yourself in the tranquility of nature and disconnect.

FAM TRIP | Hotel Focus

In March we took a wonderful group of agents on a FAM Trip to the tiny but mighty region of Valle D’Aosta.

R Collection Hotels provided us with the most incredible places to stay on our travels.

We spent the first part of our journey at Montana Lodge & Spa, a 5* hotel in the picture perfect village of La Thuile. Montana Lodge & Spa provides a cosy but contemporary welcome, elegant Bistrot and beautiful spa for relaxing after a day spent on the slopes.

Our next stop took us to the Grand Hotel Courmayeur, a luxury 5* Hotel with views overlooking Mont Blanc. The spa includes a Turkish bath for immersive relaxation, a fine dining restaurant and contemporary rooms and suites.

Sharing Piemonte’s finest exports at our event at Bardo in St James, London was a March highlight. Collaborating with Miss Porta - our representative in the UK - Giovanni Rosso Winery, and Sina Villa Matilde, 30 advisors attended ‘Piemonte Uncorked’.

Celebrating the region’s terroir, tradition and the timeless art of Italian wine, the guests enjoyed incredible food alongside a curated wine pairing, thanks to Giovanni Rosso.
