👨‍🍳 Meet Sachin, our Head Chef! 👨‍🍳

Many of you will already know Sachin or may have met him during a previous stay at Maison des Landes, as he regularly comes out of the kitchen to speak with guests and make sure they are enjoying their meals.

Sachin is at the heart of our kitchen and plays a huge part in making every guest’s stay special. He puts a great deal of care, skill and pride into every menu and every dish. He also understands the importance of catering for individual dietary requirements and works hard to ensure everyone is well looked after throughout their stay.

Leading a busy hotel kitchen takes dedication, organisation and a genuine passion for looking after people — qualities Sachin brings every day.

We are incredibly fortunate to have him as our Head Chef and enormously grateful for everything he does for our guests, our team and Maison des Landes.

It’s National Inclusion Week® 2026!

We're joining organisations across the UK to celebrate National Inclusion Week®, organised by Inclusive Employers.

This year’s theme - Build Trust. Navigate Change. - is a reminder of how important it is to keep listening, learning and creating places where everyone feels valued, respected and able to be themselves.

We are proud to offer a fully accessible, inclusive hotel and community hub in St Ouen, but due to its popularity, we have had to find an alternative venue! So, we are holding our National Inclusion Week® Breakfast at BDO Jersey in St Helier this Friday with four amazing guest speakers who will be telling their personal stories about overcoming barriers to inclusion.

Next up in our 2026 Solar Giveaway shortlist, sponsored by Benest Estates, is Maison des Landes - accessible hotel and community hub.

Based in St Ouen, Maison des Landes Hotel and Community Hub is a charitable trust that has been supporting people with disabilities for more than 60 years. It provides accessible stays, dining, events and activities for islanders and visitors, as well as respite breaks, hydrotherapy sessions and activities for local charities and community groups.

Here’s what winning would mean to them:

“Running a fully accessible hotel and community hub involves significant energy costs, particularly with facilities such as our hydrotherapy pool, which is used by around 400 swimmers every month. Winning SunWorks’ Solar Giveaway would lower these costs, reduce our environmental impact, and make our services more sustainable for the future.

👨‍🍳 Meet Rakesh!

Rakesh joined us this year as our Junior Sous Chef and has quickly become a valued member of the kitchen team at Maison des Landes.

Working alongside Head Chef Sachin and the rest of the team, Rakesh has settled in brilliantly and has played an important part in what has been a very busy season so far.

He’s hardworking, always smiling and has been a great addition to the team.

Lots of fun watching the solar eclipse from the terrace this evening! We eventually got the hang of the colander, but were especially grateful to Freya and her Mum for sharing their special eclipse glasses 😎

We’d like to introduce you to Naveen, our Chef de Partie, who is with us for his very first season at Maison des Landes.

Since joining the team, Naveen has settled in brilliantly. His positive attitude, willingness to learn and hard work have made him a valued member of our kitchen, and he has fitted into the team extremely well.

As with all of our chefs, Naveen plays an important part in making sure our guests enjoy fresh, tasty meals throughout their stay. Whether it’s breakfast, lunch or dinner, he takes real pride in the food he prepares.

It’s been great to see the progress he’s made in such a short space of time, and we’re delighted to have him as part of the Maison des Landes family.

Thank you, Naveen, for everything you’ve brought to the team this season. We’re looking forward to seeing you continue to grow and develop with us.
