It’s really happening this time, international tourists are actually arriving in Japan and by the end of the year we can expect a low friction entry process that is well practised and normalised.

What is a Lazy Bird?… well its a late early bird!!! … considering this is the 3rd post-covid season we wanted to be sure that this time everything is really opening up and not jump the start… again.

*Offer Valid until the end of October 2022. Requires a payment of 30% Deposit.
** Deposit is non refundable - Bookings dates are able to be changed based on availability and participation is transferable. (Refunds will only be made based on travel restrictions)

NSA is Back for 2022 / Reopening Special
Time to climb out of the ditch we have landed in and get back to the top of the mountain for 2022.

International Travel Reopening
The talking heads on TV and Governments are making the right noises about international travel, but until there are No Quarantines and No Entry Visas (Visa Waivers) Tourism won’t be a reality….. BUT actions speak louder than words….. Airlines are taking planes out of storage and preparing them to go back into service… thats expensive…. they wouldn’t do that unless they were very confident things are opening in the next few months. Therefore we are quite confident Japan will open by January.

2022 Season Early Bird Bookings Until December
Opening NSA is a significant financial commitment that requires a minimum number of tours to break even. Removing bikes from storage, start up maintenance, staffing and insurance combined with a end of the season engine rebuild and shutdown maintenance. In short it’s cheaper keep bikes in storage than run a handful of tours.

In a normal season by this time of year we would already have a bunch of bookings and be ready be to roll. So for 2022 things we will run a reopening special between now and the end of December to get your bookings in at early bird prices.

Happy New Year....
Sometimes you need to know when to hit the ejection seat to survive ride again another day.

The current COVID situation in Japan since this November has been on a balance point and its been wait and see... however as winter progresses so has the pandemic and it’s become increasingly clear that domestic travel will be very limited.

It was a massive rush in March to complete maintenance and get everyone home before the travel restrictions. Unfortunately it also meant there was no time to take photos to share this year.

By April it was clear we needed to focus on growing other parts of our business, including a new summer business thats been slowly bubbling along. So this summer and now with the winter downtime actually gave us the opportunity to grow other parts of our business for 2021.

As such we won’t be running tours this season... However things are now very certain that we will be back for 2021 /22 Season.
