河津桜ツアー始めました。ショップから亀島川、日本橋川、隅田川を経て大横川沿いの河津桜の名所までは、約40分のパドリング。すでに満開の河津桜にたくさんのヒヨドリが集っていました。ソメイヨシノに比べ花持ちがよく、これから２週間ほどはピンクの景色を楽しませてくれるはず。そして３月下旬からはソメイヨシノツアーが始まります。
Our Another Sakura Tour — our Kawazu cherry blossom tour — has just started.
After about 40 minutes of paddling from the shop, we reach a hidden cherry blossom spot in the city.

Along Oyokogawa River, beside quiet residential areas and parks, the Kawazu cherry blossoms are already in full bloom. The only sound we heard today was birds singing.

Kawazu blossoms last longer than the Somei Yoshino, the most common cherry blossom in Japan, so we expect to enjoy the pink scenery for about two more weeks, including petals floating on the water.

From late March, our Somei Yoshino Sakura Tours will begin as well.

In Tokyo the cherry leaves are just past their peak, but the reds are still looking bright. Winter migratory birds are showing up more and more, and even though the riverside paths are getting quieter, the water is getting lively again.

We picked up the 5.4 kg trash from the river and river bank.
Heidi, 4 month old golden doodle girl joined for the first time. And dropped in the water for the first time, too. Luckily she wore a life jacket. 😂

Next is 1 pm on Novermber 9th
