Our beautiful landscapes will leave a lasting impression. Obihiro is located in the center of the Tokachi Plain with the Taisetsu mountains in the north and the Hidaka Mountain Range in the west. Tokachi region consists of one city, 16 towns and 2 villages. Thanks to our spacious farmlands, food produced in Tokachi is safe and delicious.

A scene of quiet, frozen beauty at Nukabira lake.

Ice bubbles are frozen methane gas from the lakebed and trapped inside of the lake as the water freezes.
Frost flowers are delicate frost crystals that forme flower-like patterns on the surface of a lake.

You can see those scene during very cold and calm conditions.
