Paris recs + cost
🇫🇷 I stayed at the metropol hotel - $270 for 4 nights. Good location because it was two blocks from gare du nord (main train station) so it was easy to get to from the airport but the hotel amenities lacked. For the price, I would stay again. But I would look at better locations like 3th to the 6th arr.
🖼️ Musee d’Orsay was 14€ and was enough for me as I don’t enjoy museums that much lol but would like to go to the Louvre next time when I have an extra 76€ on me. I heard Musee de l’Orangerie is worth it as well.
🚊 Take the metro everywhere! It’s better than paying for the hop-on-off bus in my opinion. The fare is 2.55€ per trip or 12.30€ for the day pass. Download the Bounjour RATP app on your phone to buy tickets and have them on your apple wallet.
🛍️ Le Marais and Montmarte are cute neighborhoods to just walk around to buy souvenirs, go vintage shopping and have dinner + drinks. For more vintage finds, go to a flea market, there’s many happening every weekend. Follow .vintage.paris for locations
❤️🔥 If you can, get a ticket to the Moulin Rouge. It’s a must! I went solo on my last visit and I enjoyed it so much. You can also have dinner and drinks while the show is happening. Buy tickets in advanced!
🎟️ Go to the FREE rooftop at Galeries Lafayette for the best view of Paris. I wouldn’t spend my money on Eiffel Tower tickets or Arc de Triomphe. They’re monuments to see from outside in my opinion.
🍷 Only if you have more than 4 days in Paris, I would do a day trip to Versailles, Champagne or Disneyland.
