📍📌 Turkana Cultural Festival 2021.
For Many Many Years, i've wanted to go to Turkana, but Fear held me down.
When you are not financially free , you will find every little fear as a justification of not doing or living.
One thing 2021 has been to me is Free.
I have been a free spirit. Jumped onto opportunities and analyzing the what ifs later.
Am Proud to Say i have been to Turkana thrice in 2021. Experienced Lodwar, Eliye twice.
I have my most amazing experiences this year from the North.
I have danced by the Lake, Met so many new amazing people, Camped, Cooked, Showered & Slept by the Lake, Rained on and whole camp gear wet by the rain, Moved to a shed, Slept outside like Turkanas, Almost arrested (1st time ever & hilarious experience), grown my friendships there.
There is just so much 🤭😀.
When we, Roamers just post photos, most times we don't tell the stories, the raw experiences, that is where all the fun is and its the reason we travel.
The cute photos we show you are just the only physical thing we can show you. The best part of travel remains with us, becomes an intimate part of us , and we only get to try share with those who care to ask or listen to our stories.
Grateful to a good friend of mine who was instrumental in my first North Visit🙏🏽 I would never have truly experienced & Loved Turkana.
