At Lorna Safaris, we are working to change that. We’re driven by the belief that every person, no matter their abilities, deserves to explore the world. Travel isn't just about seeing beautiful places it's about sharing experiences, creating memories, and feeling
connected. And no one should be left out of that. But this is about more than travel. In Kenya, children born with disabilities often endure unimaginable challenges abandoned, mistreated, or simply seen as a burden. The weight of these struggles doesn’t just fall on them; it crushes their families, too, leaving caregivers overwhelmed and hopeless. No one should feel that way. No child should ever be made to feel like they don’t belong. Every family deserves joy, connection, and hope. And that’s why this mission is so personal. The woman behind this initiative is no stranger to challenges. She's caring for an ailing father and facing monetary struggles of her own. Yet, in the face of this, her heart is wide transparent dedicated to creating a world where accessibility isn’t just a dream, but a reality. This project isn’t just an idea on paper. Imagine being told that your child is a burden. That their dreams, their joy, their very existence is too “difficult” to accommodate.

This is the heartbreaking reality for so many families living with disabilities in Africa. Stigma, judgment, and a lack of understanding force them into silence, isolation, and pain. Vacations become impossible. Opportunities for joy are stolen. Children are abandoned. Parents feel lost.

At Lorna Safaris, we refuse to accept this as “just the way things are.”

Every person deserves to feel included, to feel valued, and to experience the beauty of the world. We’re on a mission to bring dignity, hope, and freedom to families living with disabilities—but we can’t do it without you.

Modify vehicles with wheelchair ramps, giving families the gift of safe mobility.
Educate and empower parents and communities to embrace, not reject, those with disabilities.
Provide counseling to parents who’ve been left to face their struggles alone.
