_Karibu_ to the hidden gem of the Chogoria Route — *Nithi Falls*!

Most hikers rushing to Point Lenana pass it, but _sisi tunasimama_. This is where Mt. Kenya shows off. Nithi Falls is that breathtaking 3-tier cascade you hit around the 3,300m mark, just after you leave the forest belt and before the moorland opens up.
- *The sound*: After hours of hiking, that roar of water hitting rock just resets your soul. _Utajua umefika_.
- *The view*: Water tumbling down black lava rock, surrounded by giant lobelias and mist. Perfect lunch spot. Best photos are mid-morning when the light hits.
- *The break*: Cold, fresh spray on your face at altitude? _Hakuna dawa k**a hiyo_. It’s the perfect reminder that pole pole, you’re already inside the mountain’s magic.

Pack a small thermos. We stop here for Kenyan tea. Falls in front, tea in hand, Mt. Kenya watching. _Hii ndio safari_.

Chogoria isn’t just about the summit. It’s about moments like Nithi Falls.
