Moments from Meru National Park last week 🐘 🦒 🦏
Located 350kms from Nairobi, Meru is one of Kenya's lesser visited national parks. At 870sq.kms in size, it is home to the big 5, a Rhino sanctuary, and over 400 bird species... without the tourist crowds ✨️

Last month, we embarked on our first camel assisted walking safari through the beautiful scenery of Soysambu Conservancy and Elementaita 🐫
The camels carry all the camping equipment and food, and they can also carry you if you get tired! We honestly would recommend this experience to anyone who likes hiking and the simple camping lifestyle 🏕
We will definitely be doing another one, and the more the merrier if you'd like to join us 😁

Last month we visited the Olorgesailie Prehistoric Site on a short camping trip.
A National Museum of Kenya, the site is located between Nairobi and Magadi and if often referred to as the “factory of stone tools” because it's the only place in the world where so many artefacts have been located. It is also home to prehistoric bones from Elephants and Hippos, dating back 1.2 million years. Evidence has shown that this area used to be a large lake that acted as the lifeline of human species about 100,000 to 200,000 years ago, until earth movement caused the lake wall to separate and empty out.
