If you wrote your CHILD as your next of kin you made a mistake

Yes, I said it.

Too many people are filling forms with emotions instead of understanding.

“Next of Kin” is not:
🥢 Your favorite child
🥢 Your first born
🥢 The person you love the most
It is the person who can ACT when you cannot.

Now pause and think…

If something happens today, can your child walk into a bank and speak for you?
Can they sign documents?
Can they give legal instructions?
No.

So what really happens in real life?

🥢 Salary and benefits get stuck
🥢 Insurance cannot be processed
🥢 Hospitals delay decisions
🥢 Property matters freeze

Then suddenly family members start asking questions:
“Who should take over?”
“What did they really want?”
“Who was in charge?”

And just like that confusion enters. Not because people are wicked but because the form was filled wrongly.

Let me say this clearly.

A child (especially a minor) cannot act in law.
So even if that child is your whole world
The system will still ask:
“Where is the adult?”

And that’s when stress begins.

Court affidavits.
Guardians.
Delays.
All because of ONE line you filled casually.

If you want your child to benefit from what you own, do the right thing. Write a WILL. Don’t leave important things to assumption.

Choosing a capable adult as your next of kin is not wickedness it is wisdom.
You are not replacing your child.
You are protecting them from future battles.

And let me shock you a little Next of Kin is not heir. The person you wrote there does NOT automatically inherit your property. If you want your child to benefit, do the right thing WRITE A WILL.

Don’t leave love to assumption.
Document it.
