🥾⛰️ Conquer Onion Mountain! ⛰️🥾

Looking for a challenge? Take on the 8.5km, 4.5-hour hike up Onion Mountain, with a 480m climb that rewards you with breathtaking bird’s-eye views of Luang Prabang, the Mekong, and surrounding peaks. 🌄 The mountain gets its name from the spring onions and chillies planted by local villagers, thriving in the cooler, higher-altitude climate.

This is the most demanding hike starting from Hillside Lodge, but the panoramic vistas make every step worth it! 🌿✨ Guided tours are recommended, but adventurers can go solo—just check with Mr. Khan or Mr. Holger first, as overgrown paths may add to the challenge.

Go self-guided, equipped with GPS tracks and a machete in hand to clear the overgrown path, this trek is not just a journey but an unforgettable adventure.
