Belihuloya was largely unaffected by the recent floods and landslides. With the onset of the rainy season, the area has transformed into a lush green paradise, further highlighting its natural beauty.

This week’s Soba program, airing on Saturday at 4 PM on Siyatha TV, features some of Belihuloya’s most stunning locations, activities, and hidden gems. We are proud to share that the crew stayed with us at Windy Hills Glamping during their visit and explored the region from our site.

We visited Hirikatu Oya recently. The spot where we used to enjoy a river bath—just 10 minutes from Windy Hills Glamping—is now harder to access due to the stronger rapids. Still, the rains have amplified the beauty of Hirikatu Oya, making it more stunning than ever.

The windy, dry season has finally passed, and the rains have begun to transform Windy Hills into a lush green haven. Belihuloya and Hirikatu Oya now rush with fresh rapids, flowing into Samanala Wewa and raising its water levels, creating a breathtaking panorama visible from both Windy Hills Bungalow and Windy Hills Glamping.

We have upgraded our family Chalet, Windy Hills Bungalow. Now available with AC, attached bathroom with hot water, and access to our beautiful pool and baby pool. Ideal for a family retreat, a peaceful getaway, enjoy the scenic view of Belihuloya and Samanala Weva from the terrace.
