☀️ Sun, nature, adventure, and unforgettable memories. Who is ready for lakes, forests, and outdoor adventures? And who is ready for summer in Lithuania?
Think vast forests, clear lakes, scenic hiking and cycling routes, charming small towns, and plenty of space to breathe. It's the perfect destination for those looking for a "coolcation" - escaping crowded hotspots in favor of authentic experiences, beautiful nature, and a relaxed pace of life. 🧭
One of the biggest advantages? Fewer crowds, less stress, and more opportunities to connect with nature. Combined with well-developed infrastructure for outdoor activities, recreation, wellness, and family-friendly adventures, Lithuania offers everything needed for a memorable summer getaway. 🛶
We're also working on several tours and special offers designed to help you experience the best of summer in Lithuania - from nature escapes and active adventures to relaxing lakeside retreats. Stay tuned for more inspiration and upcoming opportunities to discover Baltics with us. 🌿

At the very end of April, our incoming tourism team ( thank you Arta Blumberga and Alise Taškāne for company!) went on an educational and inspection trip to our neighbors in Lithuania — visiting Vilnius and Kaunas.
The goal of the trip was to explore the newest and most popular hotels, visit well-loved restaurants, discover new tourism attractions, and gain a deeper understanding of the current tourism landscape in both cities — including visitor flows, guest interests, and the latest travel and hospitality trends relevant for international and corporate clients.
A huge thank you to our wonderful hosts and partners from Go Vilnius and for preparing interesting and well-organized programs for us in both cities.
And now, a little bit of statistics:
during our stay in Vilnius, guided by Paula Tamuliūnaitė from "Go Vilnius", we visited: Hotel Neringa, where we also stayed, the brand-new AC Hotel by Marriott Vilnius, the stylish Courtyard by Marriott Vilnius City Center, and Grand Hotel Vilnius Curio Collection by Hilton, which will soon undergo beautiful interior design renovations.
We enjoyed lunch and a Midus tasting at Grey, and also explored restaurants such as Bernelių Užeiga, Etno Dvaras, Augustin, and Restoranas „Lokys“. We were also introduced to unique experiences including a Džiugas cheese tasting and a Beer SPA experience.
On our 2nd day in Vilnius, we continued exploring the city with a visit to the Vilnius TV Tower — an interesting venue combining both a hotel and event space — followed by visits to Porsche Garage and Lukiškės Prison 2.0. We ended our Vilnius experience with the outstanding M. K. Čiurlionis VR experience “Trail of Angels”.
In Kaunas, together with Gabriele Krapikaitė from "KaunasIN", we explored Kaunas Cathedral and restaurants including Momo Grill, Nüman, Avilys, and Bernelių Užeiga, while dinner was enjoyed at Medžiotojų Užeiga.
On the 2nd day in Kaunas, guided by guide Linas Žabaliūnas, we visited Hotel Moxy Kaunas Center, where we stayed, as well as refurbished Hotel Kaunas, high-quality Radisson Hotel Kaunas, and a uniquely designed hotel located in a remarkable architectural building - Victoria Hotel Kaunas. We also discovered some of the best examples of Kaunas street art, visited Kaunas Town Hall and the Volfas Engelman brewery as a potential event venues, and took the Aleksotas Funicular up to enjoy panoramic views over the city. We concluded our visit with lunch at Restaurant DIA.
As representatives of a sustainability-minded company, we chose to travel to Vilnius and back from Kaunas in a sustainable way — by coaches from Lux Express and ECOLINES - transportation options that we increasingly recommend to our own tourists as well.
***
We are looking forward to many more successful collaborations, our amazing Vilnius and inspiring Kaunas!
And we are certain that many of our international guests will truly appreciate the opportunity to visit your beautiful cities. ✨

Last week, we attended a tourism networking event organized by Latvijas Investīciju un attīstības aģentūra - LIAA in Cēsis, bringing together tourism professionals, local producers, experience providers, accommodation hosts, and regional tourism organizations from across the Vidzeme region.
Our day began with lunch in the heart of Cēsis, followed by presentations and meetings with local suppliers at H. E. Vanadziņa restorāns. The event gave us a great opportunity to explore tourism products, authentic local experiences, food and drink producers, cultural heritage sites, and active tourism opportunities throughout Vidzeme.
Vidzeme offers a diverse and high-quality tourism experience just a short trip from Riga — from nature and culture to unique local businesses and hospitality. It was inspiring to meet so many passionate tourism entrepreneurs who are open to new ideas and ready for strong collaborations.
The evening continued with a networking dinner and valuable discussions about future partnerships in a truly inspiring atmosphere. We’re excited about the opportunities ahead!

May 4 – a proud day for Latvia.
In 1990, Latvia restored its independence and regained its freedom.
Today is a moment to remember that courage and appreciate the freedom we have.
Happy Independence Restoration Day, our dear and only Latvia! ❤️

On 20–21 April, at the kind invitation of the Head of the Tourism Department of Talsi Municipality and following a thoughtfully prepared programme, my colleague Arta Blumbergs and I set off on an educational tour across the Talsi region. The aim was to explore and evaluate venues and services suited to MICE tourism and inbound travel, including event spaces, group dining options, and accommodation providers.
We followed an intensive itinerary, which allowed us to visit and experience no fewer than 23 different locations across the scenic North Kurzeme region, along the route Mērsrags–Kaltene–Roja–Kolka–Košrags–Mazirbe–Dundaga–Vandzene–Talsi–Lauciene–Strazde.
The impressions gathered are rich and varied—just like the range of tourism offerings available. What stood out in particular was the positivity and dedication of local tourism entrepreneurs, as well as a strong and encouraging message: for many, the upcoming summer season is already largely fully booked with events, camps, celebrations, weddings, and holidaymakers. This clearly indicates that North Kurzeme is a vibrant and active destination, attracting not only local visitors but also travellers from Lithuania, Germany, Sweden, and other nearby European markets.
It was equally rewarding to see the high standards of maintenance and the active preparations underway for the summer season. Many businesses continue to invest in improving both the diversity and quality of their offerings, reinforcing the region’s appeal.
A sincere thank you to everyone who welcomed us so warmly—hosting, guiding, catering, accommodating, and ensuring that this visit was both productive and intense, but enjoyable from an organisational perspective.

On 15th of April we participated in a tourism seminar jointly organised by Latvijas Investīciju un attīstības aģentūra - LIAA and the Riga Investment and Tourism Agency, which took place at the premises of the Embassy of Latvia in United Kingdom (London) and brought together around 25 tourism industry representatives from the United Kingdom. The event once again highlighted Latvia as an authentic and pleasantly surprising destination—easily accessible, rich in cultural events and experiences, and offering a distinctive gastronomic scene.

In their presentations, airBaltic, LIVE RIGA, Visit Jūrmala, and Liepāja - Culture Capital of Europe 2027 each emphasised their key strengths and current highlights. Meanwhile, we, as a DMC, reinforced these messages during networking session, giving interested partners a practical insight into how these unique offerings can be packaged into appealing culinary and cultural tours or programmes in cooperation with us.

A special atmosphere was created by ethnomusician Ieva Tālberga, whose musical performance offered a glimpse into the scale and spirit of the upcoming “Liepāja 2027” cultural programme. 🎶

🤝🏻 A warm thank you to the Embassy of Latvia in the United Kingdom for the nice welcome and to the organisers for the delicious Latvian-flavoured snacks and the wines from the Kurzeme region.

We hope that this meeting was both a refreshing discovery and an inspiring experience for the representatives of the United Kingdom, motivating them to continue including—or expanding—their travel portfolios with Latvia as a destination in the near or more distant future. ✨

We recently had the chance to experience the new panoramic wheel Riga Rise - Rīgas panorāmas rats — one of the newest (opened 2025) and valuable highlights in Riga! 🎡
Located in a newly developed and well-designed public space next to Uzvaras Park (15 Minutes walking distance from Riga Old Town), this 65-metre-high experience offers breathtaking views over Old Town Riga and beyond. It is accessible to visitors of all ages, including wheelchair users, and features 30 spacious gondolas with high-quality glass windows, each accommodating up to 8 passengers. A standard ride lasts approximately 20 minutes, offering ample time to take in the spectacular panoramic views.
It’s a perfect addition to any visit, also when combined, for example, with a stop at Āgenskalns Market for a taste of local flavours.
We’re excited to include Riga Rise in our travel programmes and can’t wait to see how it evolves into even more unique experiences — because even a simple ride can be turned into something truly unforgettable high above the city.
And the best time is just around the corner 🌸 — as cherry blossoms begin to bloom in Uzvaras Park, the above views will become magical!

🇱🇹 Lithuania has long been one of the Baltic’s most exciting destinations – and it’s great to see it gaining wider recognition across Europe, with recent BBC attention simply confirming that.
Lithuania is truly a place to really slow down and enjoy – time in nature, local traditions even as a part of everyday life, and simple yet creative food made from locally grown ingredients, sourced in farms, gardens, forests and meadows. Also our programs in Lithuania and Baltics are built around these kinds of experiences, combining slow travel with authentic ways to explore and connect with the culture, the people, and the places.
Uncover the treasures of Lithuania with us! 🌿

As some of the world's most popular cities impose caps and surcharges, these places are expanding airports, easing visas and planning for sustainable growth.
