🏔️ 3-Day Trek to Mount Toubkal from Marrakech

🗓 Day 1: Marrakech → Imlil (1,740m) → Refuge du Toubkal (3,207m)

🚙 Morning: Transfer from Marrakech to Imlil (1.5 hours)

Pick-up from Marrakech and drive through the scenic Tahanaout Valley.

Stop at Asni for a tea break and enjoy views of the Atlas Mountains.

Arrive at Imlil (1,740m), a picturesque Berber village and the gateway to Toubkal.

🥾 Start Trekking: Imlil → Aroumd → Sidi Chamharouch (2,350m) → Refuge du Toubkal

Hike Duration: ~5-6 hours

Trail Highlights:

Pass through Aroumd village, famous for its terraced fields.

Visit the shrine of Sidi Chamharouch, a sacred place for locals.

Stop for a picnic lunch by the river.

Continue the ascent through rugged trails to Refuge du Toubkal (3,207m).

Evening: Dinner and overnight stay at the refuge, with breathtaking sunset views.

🗓 Day 2: Refuge du Toubkal → Summit (4,167m) → Refuge du Toubkal

🌄 Early Morning: Summit Ascent

Start: 4:00 AM (for a sunrise summit)

Hike Duration: 3-4 hours ascent, 2-3 hours descent

Trail Highlights:

Steep but rewarding climb over rocky terrain.

Reach North Africa’s highest peak (4,167m) just in time for sunrise!

Enjoy 360° panoramic views of the Atlas Mountains and, on a clear day, even the Sahara Desert.

Descent to Refuge:

Return to the refuge for a well-earned breakfast and rest.

Spend the afternoon exploring the surrounding peaks or relaxing.

Evening: Dinner and overnight at the refuge.

🗓 Day 3: Refuge du Toubkal → Imlil → Marrakech

🥾 Descend Back to Imlil

Hike Duration: ~4-5 hours

Trail Highlights:

Retrace your steps through scenic valleys.

Take in Berber villages, walnut groves, and mountain streams.

Stop for a traditional lunch in Imlil.

🚙 Return to Marrakech

Transfer back to Marrakech, arriving by late afternoon (~5:00 PM).

Optional: Relax in a hammam or celebrate with a rooftop dinner in the medina.
