We’ve been working on our new website recently, which meant going through years and years of old photos.
And somehow, we ended up right back at the beginning :)
Two little huts in the desert, a tiny kitchen. Our first guests. Long evenings by the fire. The first groups and workshops. Looking through it all made us realise just how much has changed, and that perhaps after 11 years, it’s finally time to properly introduce ourselves to those of you who have joined us here along the way :)
We are Agata and Moha. We met in 2015, when Moha was my guide on my first journey into the Sahara. I came back two months later. And then again. The third time, I stayed for the whole winter.
Back then, we lived in one little hut and welcomed guests in the other. More people came, so we built another. And another. Without ever really planning it, the camp grew with the people who came here.
Today, Desert Stories has grown far beyond those first two huts, and our journeys have taken us far beyond the Sahara. But looking back reminded us how much of those beginnings is still with us: the space, the people, the curiosity, and the joy of sharing the places we love.
We’ve put the whole story together on our blog.
