A tailored 8-day family trip across Morocco, travelled with a 7-year-old son and a 9-year-old daughter — at a pace that felt right for everyone.

We first listened to what the family needed and, together with Jakub, shaped the itinerary around it.

Then came the journey itself — mountains, desert and ocean, the full abundance Morocco has to offer.

Marrakesh → Atlas Mountains → Ait Ben Haddou → Todra & Dades Gorges → Erg Chigaga → Lake Iriki → Taroudant → Essaouira

The route was covered in a 4×4, with an English-speaking driver and guide.

Since we have a little desert garden, we cook meals at Camp Chraika with our own greenpeas, broadbean and corriander 🌱

If you feel like joining us, we offer simple tagine cooking classes in the Moroccan desert — slow meals, shared together at our desert camp.

Moha Mohamed Khidouma doesn't just accept the desert as it is, but keeps planting and watering the dry soil, patiently turning the idea of a green desert into something real. Next step: tomatoes, carrots and onions 🤗

All softness… until the teeth come out 😌

On the way to Erg Chigaga, we stop for tea with a nomadic family we’ve known for years, living near the oasis.

Baby goats look like little teddy bears. Everyone wants to hold them, take a photo, keep them forever.

I got one placed in my arms… and forgot to check if it had teeth.

Bartek .po.kuchni captured the exact moment just before things got bloody 😆

This is desert life: slow, sweet, and sometimes with tiny teeth involved.

Are camel tours in Morocco ethical?

If you’re planning a camel trekking in Morocco, this question comes up often.

The truth is, it depends on how it’s done.

In the Sahara, camels are part of daily life. They travel with people, carry supplies, and rest along the way.

On our Morocco desert tours, we keep the pace slow. We walk alongside the camels and work with people we trust.

Do you know a desert like this?

Sand dunes are just some areas of the Moroccan Sahara.
Here, the landscape shifts every few kilometres.
Moon-like rock formations, dry valleys, and suddenly… an oasis full of green.

This is the area around Foum Zguid, which we called the Moroccan Colorado. Raw, wild and remote.

We take you all the way to the end of the world 😎💛

Scenic off-road drive to Foum Zguid, with one night in the dunes of Erg Chigaga.

Along the way: Erg Zahar and Iriqui National Parks, following the former Paris–Dakar route, the Sacred Oasis, Erg Smar military village, and tea with Madame Hera at her desert home.

The journey ends in the Moroccan “Colorado” — rock formations of the so-called Erg Kingdom near Foum Zguid.
