Today marks a special milestone for ASISTEN TRAVEL as we celebrate the company’s 17th anniversary. (yes - One Seven - First picture dated from 2007)

Much has evolved since the early days, when our mothers led the company while we were still overseas. Today, we proudly highlight the global reach of our business, with stakeholders across Antananarivo, Nosy Be, France, and Canada.

From a team of just two, the company has grown to 21 employees on payroll, supported by a network of over 50 drivers and guides. We are proud to remain a 100% Malagasy company, committed to elevating the tourism industry in Madagascar and contributing to the luxury positioning of the Red Island.

To cap off an amazing month of March, the entire ASISTEN TRAVEL team gathered in Antananarivo for an epic team-building day! After a short cycling ride with MBIKE 🚵‍♀🚵 to warm us up, the SOAVINA Atmosphère team 💙 put our agility and balance to the ultimate test with high-energy relay races on land and in the swimming pool 🏊🤽‍♀️🤽‍♂️. The day was a fantastic display of our team’s incredible synergy, spirit, and dedication to working together.

A strong step forward in our ongoing commitment to excellence, professionalism, and world-class guiding standards.

After an intensive round of classroom sessions covering company processes, anti-corruption practices, and Madagascar’s exceptional natural history and biodiversity—led by renowned experts Jonah Ratsimbazafy of GERP Madagascar and Steve Goodman of VAHATRA Association & Field Museum—our guiding team moved into specialized field training.

This hands-on phase was led by Byron Ross of Silver Sengi, an elite trainer with extensive experience across Africa’s top luxury camps. Practical sessions took place in Andasibe before continuing in Nosy Be, where Byron worked closely with our northern-based guides.

Going from December to April, it is a wet but vibrant period characterized by lush, blooming landscapes, high activity for chameleons, frogs, and lemurs, and fewer tourists.
