Asyk Atu – Traditional Nomadic Bone Game
Asyk Atu is a traditional game played by Kazakh people and other nomadic communities in Central Asia. The game uses small sheep or goat ankle bones called “asyk”.
Players aim and shoot at the bones using another asyk, testing their accuracy, concentration, and skill. This traditional game has been passed down through generations and remains an important part of nomadic cultural heritage.
It is not just a game, but also a symbol of friendship, tradition, and the nomadic way of life.

As part of the Altai Nomads Mini Festival, we introduced our guests to the ancient traditions and spiritual practices of Mongolian shamanism.

This was a special opportunity for our international visitors to learn about shamanic beliefs, traditional rituals, and the deep spiritual connection between nomadic people and nature.
