Le Domaine des Aubineaux is a colonial mansion built in 1872, open to visitors in search for an authentic experience. Située à Forest Side, à côté de Curepipe, la demeure des Aubineaux fut érigée en 1872. Fabriquée en bois de l'époque, la maison est ornée de jolies tourelles qui lui confèrent une allure imposante, ainsi que d'un vaste couloir central, plutôt inhabituel à l'époque. Lors de la rénov

ation, les propriétaires n'ont rien voulu changer, et la maison a conservé tous ses meubles et tableaux d'époque. Accompagné d'un guide vous visiterez les espaces de vie et découvrirez l'histoire d'une famille mauricienne, un saut dans le temps qui vous plongera dans le passé colonial de l'île. De nombreuses anecdotes vous y attendent: saviez-vous par exemple que la famille à laquelle appartient cette demeure était la première de l'île à libérer ses esclaves ?
