You booked online in 15 minutes.
And honestly? You absolutely can do it yourself.
But while people say you don’t need a travel agent, here’s what happened during my family vacation today. Between breaks in the room, sitting in a quiet corner of the park, and even while waiting in line for a ride, this is what all I did:
✨ Answered 2 client emails
✨ Made a Disney package change
✨ Made a Universal package change
✨ Texted with 3 clients
✨ Followed up on a quote
✨ Processed a client payment
✨ Worked up 4 new vacation quotes
✨ Helped a complete stranger in the park figure out which Harry Potter world was in which park and where to find gluten-free dining.
My clients may be traveling on their own, but they’re not doing it alone.
They have someone to text when plans change. Someone who knows the destinations, the policies, the tricks, and the details. Someone who can help before, during, and after their trip.
Yes. You can absolutely do it all yourself. All the research, price checking, reservations, park planning, checking for updates, learning when the best time to do all the things are, figuring out what is a money grab, guessing at the things that will stress you out. You can do it all on your own why the destination pockets the money they would be compensating someone to help you.
You can do it in your own. But you don’t have to.
A little known fact? The vast majority of the time, that help, peace of mind, knowledge, and support doesn’t cost a cent extra.
Support that goes beyond AI. Support that goes beyond the chaos of a Facebook group full of conflicting opinions.
The funny thing about being a travel agent is that the work doesn’t stop when I travel.
But honestly? That’s okay.
Because while my family was making memories today, a few other families got a little closer to theirs too. ❤️
