🌸🐬 We’ll be doing a lot more write ups on our trip once we’re home, but here’s just a few snippets from our first couple of days in Sao Miguel in the Azores!

Needless to say we are blown away already! The absolute clearest water for dolphin watching, the most stunning hiking trails and the sweetest pineapple 🍍

September is a really wonderful time to travel, if you're able to. As we move into shoulder season, temperatures get more moderate, the summer crowds fall away and a more serene experience opens up.

Near to home, destinations across Europe all maintain beautiful weather well into September, just with less of the extreme heat at the peak of the day. Perfect for a Greek island odyssey or an extended break enjoying active days and balmy evenings in a Tuscan farmhouse.

Further afield, you'll arrive in the southern hemisphere as spring begins to unfold. Clear skies along with rising temperatures across the southern hemisphere make September a perfect time to visit while tourist numbers are low.

More and more we're seeing AI-generated images of safaris circulating throughout the internet. How well can you discern the authentic from the artificial?

Travel isn't just about getting incredible photos. It's about being there and living it, in all the richness of experience that a photo simply cannot capture or convey. Watching the sun rise over the savannah. That first fleeting glimpse of a lion. The serenity of the plains pierced by the thrill of the hunt.

It sounds cliche, but travel really is about living it. About experiences in all of their sensory vividness that seep into your bones and stay with you. That's something AI will never be able to replace.

Experience Costa Rica with us 🇨🇷

Costa Rica is one of (if not THE) most popular destinations that we're being asked for at the moment, with loads of you interested in exploring its rugged nature and spectacularly rich wildlife 🦥🦜🦋🌳

And Jess is officially heading there! At the end of September, she'll be jetting off to spend a week immersing herself fully into this amazing country, with a combination of learning & education from local guides and experts, as well as getting out into the wild herself! 🤓🥾

You may well know already that we're big fans of travelling sustainably, but far too often the whole 'sustainable travel' space focuses far too much on minimising harm and not enough on making real, tangible positive impacts.

We're talking stuff that - rather than merely the absence of something bad - introduces something good to parts of the world that need it. At whatever scale - whether supporting research efforts that make a population-wide impact or caring for a handful of animals in need - doing work that goes beyond using reusable water bottles (although definitely still do this!) is our jam.

🔔🎄 Last minute Lapland availability for this Christmas!

We have a lovely family booked to go on a Santas Lapland holiday this year, but sadly due to family circumstances they are unable to travel 😪

So we are looking to see if any other family might want to take over this booking so that our lovely family don’t lose their deposit and can look to go in 2027 instead 💕

The details are:
- Return flights from Newcastle
- 28th Nov - 1st Dec
- 3 night Santas Lapland package for 2 adults and 2 children
- Staying in an interconnecting superior family suite (with private sauna!) in the 4* Santa’s Riekonlinna Hotel on half board
- A full day of Christmas activities included, with reindeer sleigh rides, husky sledding and of course meeting Santa himself!

Total cost is £5797 and would need to be paid in full to secure the place ☺️

This is a fabulous trip and would also be really helping another vet family out - Christmas magic for you and for them ✨🎄🎅
