# # Option 01: Bhote Koshi River – 2 Days Rafting Package
# # # Day 01: Kathmandu – Bhote Koshi – Sukute Beach Camp
**Departure:** 07:00 AM
We depart Kathmandu and drive through scenic rice terraces and the historic town of **Dhulikhel**, offering panoramic Himalayan views on clear days. The road descends 1,100 meters to **Dolalghat**, near the confluence of the Indrawati and Sun Koshi rivers. Our rafting put-in point lies just below the dam on the **Upper Sun Koshi**, approximately 40 km south of the Tibetan border.
Upon arrival, we unload equipment and begin a **comprehensive safety and skills training session**, as Bhote Koshi demands respect and proper preparation. Lunch is served either before rafting or during the river journey, depending on timing.
Training covers:
* River currents and eddies
* Hydraulics and whirlpools
* Rapid reading
* Self-rescue techniques
* Flip drills
* Whitewater swimming positions
After an exciting day on the river, we drive to **Sukute Beach Camp**. Enjoy a relaxed evening in safari-style thatched tents, a spacious dining hall, and a well-stocked bar, surrounded by Himalayan scenery.

After breakfast, a **30-minute drive** takes us to **Jailbire**, the rafting start point. Today’s rafting section features **Class II–III rapids**, ideal for a fun and scenic paddle through Balephi villages. The river gently winds through lush landscapes before reaching Sukute, where the trip concludes.

After breakfast, we refresh paddling skills before launching into a **3–4 hour action-packed whitewater journey**.
Highlights include:
* **Gerbil in the Plumbing** (Class IV)
* **Frog in a Blender** – a long, technical rapid often scouted by guides
* **Carnal Knowledge of a Deviant Nature** – boulder slaloms and a dramatic ledge drop
* Continuous **Class III–IV rapids** through a lush canyon with waterfalls
* **ExLax**, **The Great Wall**, **Liquid Bliss**, and **My God, What to Do?**
* Final stretch: **Dazed and Confused**, ending the run with a thrilling finale
Lunch is taken either mid-river or at the take-out point near **Lamosangu Dam**. After drying equipment, we return to Kathmandu by evening (approx. 19:00).

Early morning rafting below the **Dobhan suspension bridge** through a beautiful canyon featuring **Kooyeh Bhir Rapid**. We visit **Kuseshwar Mahadev Temple**, located at the river confluence under ancient banyan and peepal trees. The rafting ends at **Nepalthok**, followed by a **3-hour drive back to Kathmandu**.
