These paths have long facilitated the flow of cultures and religions in this remote and formerly inaccessible region. The magical trek takes you from lush sub-tropic to the highest mountains in the world amidst the surreal light in the Trans-Himalayan region. This three weeks trek starts right from Besishahar and goes along the Marshyangdi River, with great view of Manaslu and Himchuli to the east. The initial days of the trek involves walking through rice farms, forests and friendly villages in the lower realms of the Annapurna Conservation Area. Every ridge brings a Himalayan panorama with Annapurna and Himchuli soaring above. The high point of the trek entails crossing of the 5414m high Throng Pass, from the arid valley of the upper Manang, home of Tibeto- Buddhists, down to the Hindu pilgrimage site of Muktinath, and the Kali Gandaki valley, the world’s deepest river gorge, before heading down to Pokhara.
