Air New Zealand’s new Skynest is definitely getting people talking!

Available exclusively on select ultra long-haul flights between New York and Auckland, with travel beginning from late December 2026. The concept allows Economy passengers to book time in lie-flat sleep pods during the journey. A pretty big shift from trying to sleep sitting upright with a neck pillow and crossed fingers.

For anyone who’s done ultra long-haul travel before, it’s easy to see why people are curious about this idea, especially on those overnight flights where proper rest can make all the difference.

Definitely an interesting step forward in the future of flying. Would you give it a go?

There’s something truly special about slowing down on the Murray River.

Lea recently experienced the incredible Murray River Trails in Renmark, South Australia, and it was the perfect mix of relaxation, wildlife, beautiful food and meaningful connection to the landscape.

From cruising along the peaceful Murray River and learning about the region’s Indigenous history, to spotting wild kangaroos, emus, wedge-tailed eagles and wallaroos in their natural habitat, every moment felt immersive and unforgettable.

Add in local wines, regional produce, luxury accommodation onboard, sunset spa sessions and the warm hospitality from Tony and the team… and it became so much more than just a trip.

Before you leave for your trip, take photos of your important documents, including your passport, travel insurance, visas, and itinerary, and save them somewhere easy to access (like your phone or secure cloud storage).

Hopefully you’ll never need them… but if anything gets lost or delayed while travelling, having copies can make things much easier and far less stressful.

A little preparation before you go can make a big difference once you’re away.

If you’re looking for the most Instagram-worthy spa on the island, this is it! 😍

Today I treated myself to the most incredible 2½-hour spa experience at Spring Spa, including a blissful massage and a luxurious coconut body scrub. At around NZ$90, it was exceptional value for what was honestly the BEST massage I have ever had. You will need to book 2-3 days in advance.

The setting is simply breathtaking. My private treatment room overlooked the sparkling water and lush tropical gardens, creating an atmosphere of pure relaxation. Every detail has been thoughtfully designed – from the beautiful treatment bed, face rest and sarongs, to the clever mirrors placed beneath the face rests so you’re gazing out into the gardens instead of staring at the floor. Such a simple touch, but it made all the difference instead of looking at the floor.

Add in the soothing music, beautiful oils, and impeccable service, and you’ve got a spa experience that’s on another level.

A massage a day keeps the doctor away! 😉💆‍♀️🌺

✨ Sanur’s Best Kept Secret ✨

Tucked away in the heart of Sanur is Koa Shala Day Spa, a beautiful little sanctuary that quickly became one of my favourite finds.

Set amongst lush tropical gardens, with a gorgeous gift shop and an outdoor yoga studio, it feels a world away from the busy streets outside.

I treated myself to their 90-minute deep tissue massage and it was honestly one of the best massages I’ve had in Bali. The therapists are highly skilled, the setting is peaceful and elegant, and at around NZD $45, it’s incredible value for money.

A little tip – book at least 2–3 days ahead as appointments fill quickly. Trust me, it’s worth planning for and worth every cent.
