🌸 Bali Escape 2027🌸

I've found this really cool workshop for next year's Bali Escape!

We'll be making our own signature perfume! How cool is that!!

We'll be working with different types of raw materials and learning all about the complex blending techniques to make our very own personal fragrance .. to take home of course.

I am rebranding!!! As I have wound down my tours to just a couple a year, I decided the simplest thing I could do is to have all my tours under one roof! Yay 🤷‍♀️

No more juggling too many balls, in too many places ... the overwhelm got real 🫣

So... that means Africa > Bali > and any other exciting places I through a dart at, all under UNIQUE TRAVEL 🥰

Soo... watch this space ...

And I love love LOVED my 🌸Bali Escape🌸 with the most fabulous group of 8 ladies .... so much so that I'm repeating it in May 2027 🌺🌸

Just like that... our Bali Escape has come to an end 🌸🌺 And yesterday we celebrated the end of a fabulous week together, with a gorgeous high-tea!

Some time ago I heard a lovely story about an Aussie backpacker Jane Gillespie, who while travelling in Bali in late 70's, met a Balinese Prince. They ended up getting married and she became Princess Jero Asri.

In 1988 she opened Biku Bali restaurant specialising in high teas ... so of course I immediately decided to include a visit in the itinerary.

Today my group of ladies and me graduated from the famous Warung Chef Bagus Cookery School in Kuta.. and we have certificates to prove it 🥰🥰🥰

What a fantastic fun day we had with Chef Bagus.. who won Master Chef NZ back in 2010 while living briefly in NZ and has travelled the world with his incredible culinary skills before settling back in Bali and opening his packed out restaurant and cookery school.

Today he taught us how to make the most mouth-watering delicious traditional Balinese dishes, which we then enjoyed for lunch.

Chef is such a funny guy and we laughed from the time we arrived until the time we left, it was so much fun and a fantastic experience

Gosh yesterday was fun! We had a fab time at a silver jewellery workshop where we made our own special piece of silver jewellery.

Between the 9 of us we created a gorgeous collection of personally designed rings and bangles, a really awesome time creating our very own masterpieces and every one of them are absolutely gorgeous!

I made this ring and chose a moonstone as my gemstone.

It was so much fun... and our young tutors were fantastic and so patient with us all too 😍

To witness the great wildebeest migration is a truly out-of-this-world spectacle that happens annually and is one of the most memorable wildlife experiences you could ever have!

You've seen it on NatGeo, David Attenborough, Animal Planet .. and we get to see it in real life!

I plan my tours around the time of year when the savannah is lush green, the plains are teeming with animals and the wildebeest activity at the river crossings are at their highest! This means our chances of witnessing this phenomenon is extremely high!
