As we welcome the Māori New Year, we take a moment to pause, reflect on the journey behind us, honour those who have gone before us, and look forward with hope to what lies ahead.

This is a season of new beginnings.

If you've been carrying a business idea in your heart, perhaps this is the time to press go. You don't need all the answers to get started, just the courage to take that first step. Every successful pakihi began with someone believing in an idea and choosing to act.

As you set your intentions for the year ahead, don't forget to appreciate the people who walk alongside you. Whānau are often our greatest source of strength, encouragement, and inspiration, celebrating our wins and lifting us through the challenges.

May this new year bring you clarity, confidence, meaningful connections, and the courage to pursue what matters most.

Here's to a year of growth, purpose, and creating a future you can be proud of.

Mānawatia a Matariki from the Team at Thrive Whanganui. ✨

Morena e te whanau,

Thursday is creeping up fast and we're excited to shine a light on todays tauira, Porter and her pakihi Rongoa.

Porter puts a lot of heart into what she does. Her pakihi is inspired by her whanau, everyday life, and the mahi of her Papa all woven into her work in a really special way.

If you're down here make sure you come and support our girl!

Make sure you don't miss out, cos I got a feeling they're going to fly out the door.

The countdown to our Puanga market is on!

Throughout the term, our kaimahi have had the privledge of getting to know and working alongside five incredible tauira from Tawhero School through our Whai Hua programme. These tamariki have explored financial literacy, developed business ideas, created their own little brands, and learnt some of the key foundations for turning an idea into a business.

Today, we're excited to introduce Moko, the founder of W.INC (Waffles Incorporated). Moko has poured his creativity, hard work, and plenty of enthusiasm into bringing W.INC to life, and we can't wait for our hapori to experience his talent.

Watch this space! As we shine a spotlight on each of these tamariki and celebrate their journey from idea to market day!
