Carretas: dentro de la isla, también trabajamos con tour de carretas, un vehículo que se maneja por medio de caballos con capacidad de 5 personas abordo, muy seguro y cómodo, para recorrer lugares dentro de la isla, como tours de agricultura y a la playa a ver tortugas desovando. Restaurantes: Contamos con 3 restaurantes dentro de la isla, estos restaurantes, ofrecen un cómodo y exquisito menú para toda su clientela, con platos de la comunidad y comidas corrientes. Hospedajes: Los hospedajes todos cuentan con baños higiénicos, tenemos 2 tipos de hospedajes:

1. Contamos con 4 habitaciones con aire acondicionado, baños higiénicos, todos estos cuartos con capacidad de 1 a 8 personas.

2. Cuartos de alquiler, dentro de casas de familias, con camas dobles y 3 cuartos, con abanico, baños higiénicos y muy cómodos, contamos con 7 casas adecuadas para ofrecer este servicio y todas con capacidad de 1 a 7 personas. Nuestra Politica: Reservaciones, depósitos y cancelaciones:
Debido a nuestro tamaño y su ubicación, la cancelación nos afecta de manera significativa. Por consiguiente, nos adherimos a una política de cancelación estricto. Todas las reservas requieren un depósito del 50% del total de días reservados o de una sola noche de alojamiento, que cada vez es mayor. Rembolsos:
No habrá reembolso para las cancelaciones recibidas dentro de los siete días antes de la fecha de llegada. Sin embargo, haremos nuestro mejor esfuerzo para luego efectuar una nueva reserva en otras fechas. Guías Turísticos: Existe un completo personal autorizado por la ANAM para atender a todo tipo de turistas al lugar que deseen, son 20 guías caracterizados por ofrecer una información detallada de isla cañas y con información completa de que es isla cañas y de las tortugas marinas, estos guías ofrecen tours de 2 horas a la playa de noche para ver tortugas marinas, ya que con su ancestral rito de desove, producen un mágico escenario natural ininterrumpido hace cientos de años. Dentro de la isla, también contamos con seguridad policial y personal médico las 24 horas. Localizada en la Provincia de Los Santos, Distrito de Tonosí al sur de la Península de Azuero, en la costa del Pacífico, posee una extensión de 1,200 hectáreas de manglares y una playa de 14 kilómetros de largo siendo el más importante sitio de anidación de las tortugas marinas del Pacífico de Panamá, principalmente de la especie Lepidochelis Olivacea. Esta Isla también protege unos importantes ecosistemas de manglares hábitat de diferentes especies marinas. Los Pobladores de Isla Cañas protegen y manejan las miles de tortugas que arriban a sus costas cada año. En la playa, anidan cinco especies de tortugas marinas, hasta 5,000 de ellas, a lo largo de los 14 kilómetros de playa, entre julio y diciembre de cada año. El Parque Nacional Isla Cañas en Panamá tiene también especial importancia por sus dos sitios arqueológicos ubicados en el área, poseen una antigüedad mayor a los 1,600 años.

¿Cómo llegar? Desde la Ciudad de Panamá por vía aérea, en 35 minutos hasta la Ciudad de Chitré, en la Provincia de Herrera. En auto también desde la Ciudad de Panamá, a través de la Carretera Panamericana hasta la Ciudad de las Tablas en la Provincia de los Santos y luego al puerto de Isla Cañas en Tonosí, en aproximadamente dos horas. También en la isla existen cabañas, guías turísticos, carretas, lanchas y otros implementos para alquiler. Los lugareños brindan paseos marinos y terrestres por el área. La Autoridad Nacional del Ambiente (ANAM), tiene una oficina en el poblado donde se brinda información sobre la Refugio y la importancia de la conservación y preservación de las tortugas, tambien contamos con una sub estacion de policia y un centro de salud para mayor seguridad de todos nuestros vicitantes y moradores.

Details:

Boats: Trained personnel to transport tourists to Isla Cañas, these boats contain life jackets and out board motors. These boats also offer tours to see various types of birds that live in the surrounding area of the island, different types of mangrove ecosystems, fishing tours, tours around the island and trips to two archaeological sites that exist near the island (the House of Stone and an Indigenous Burial Ground). Carriages: Wooden carts guided by horses with the capacity for up to 5 people. These are a very safe and comfortable mode of transportation on the island and can be used to visit the 14km of beaches, agricultural tours and in the night to witness sea turtle nesting. Recommended for people with difficulties walking long distances on uneven ground. Restaurants: We have three restaurants inside the community. These restaurants offer comfortable and exquisite menu for all of its clients, with local dishes and daily specials. Lodging: All of the lodgings have indoor plumbing and we offer two types of habitations:

1. Cabins: We have four habitations, each with the capacity for up to eight people, with air conditioning and indoor plumbing.

2. Rented rooms or comfortable family home stays with double beds, three rooms with fans and indoor bathrooms. Our Policy: Reservations, Deposits and Cancellations

Due to our size and location we are significantly affected by cancellations. Consequentially, we follow a very strict cancellation policy. All of our reservations require a deposit of 50%, or half of the final total. Cancellations should be made one week prior to arrival. Reimbursements:

Cancellations made less than one week prior to arrival date will NOT be reimbursed. We prefer to change the date of a reservation instead of cancel reservations therefore our greatest efforts will be made to work with our guests to reserve a new visiting date. Local Guides: The community has a complete group of personnel authorized by the National Environmental Authorities of Panama to attend to all types of visitors and to accompany them to their desired destinations. This group of 20 local guides offer detailed information about the community of Isla Cañas, the local ecosystems, the sea turtle nesting and offer 2 hour tours to the beach at night to witness the ancestral rite of sea turtles nesting in their natural habitats, a magical natural scenario uninterrupted for hundreds of years. Located in the Provence of Los Santos, District of Tonosì, at the southern point of the Azuero Peninsula on the pacific coast. We posses an extension of 1200 hectares of mangroves and a beach of 14 kilometers in length being the most important sea turtle nesting site in the Panama Pacific, principally the species, Lepidochelis Olivacea, or Olive Ridley.
