Resumption of Canyoneering Activities and Kawasan Falls

Following the assessment of the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), we are pleased to inform the public that the water has returned to normal condition and clearing operations are currently ongoing.

With this, Canyoneering activities and Kawasan Falls will officially resume today, July 10, 2025, starting at 8:00 AM.

We remind all guests, tour operators, and guides to continue observing safety protocols and to coordinate with the Municipal Tourism Office for any concerns.

BADIAN CANYONEERING AND KAWASAN FALLS UPDATE!

We are pleased to inform you that Badian Canyoneering and Kawasan Falls will reopen for all activities today, June 23, 2025. Following the careful monitoring and assessment of the Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, we have determined that the water levels and currents have returned to their normal state, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.

We want to express our gratitude for your patience and understanding during the temporary closure. The safety and satisfaction of our visitors remain our top priorities, and we appreciate your continued support.

Due to the heavy rains experienced last night, the Canyoneering River remains unstable. The water level has risen, and the river currently exhibits a muddy appearance as assessed by BADIAN MDRRMO. For the safety of everyone, the Canyoneering activity and Kawasan Falls is temporarily closed today (May 28, 2025) until further notice.

The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) is closely monitoring the river conditions to ensure public safety. For updates and concerns you may contact BADIAN MDRRMO through their FB page at https://www.facebook.com/Badian.Rescue

In view of the National Midterm and Local Elections scheduled on May 12, 2025 (Monday), and in order to allow all tourism workers, stakeholders, and residents of the Municipality of Badian to exercise their right to vote, all tourism sites and operations in the municipality shall be temporarily closed for the entire day.

Furthermore, please be informed that all municipal security personnel and MDRRMO staff will be deployed to assist in election-related duties and ensure public safety and order at polling places, and therefore will not be available to provide coverage or support at tourism sites during the said date.

Regular tourism operations shall resume on May 13, 2025 (Tuesday).

All tourism operators and concerned personnel are enjoined to adjust their operations accordingly and inform guests and clients ahead of time.
