JUST IN: Taiwan has extended its visa-free entry program for Philippine passport holders for another year, allowing Filipinos to visit the country without a visa for up to 14 days until 31 July 2027, the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) announced on Friday. TECO said the extension is in reciprocity for the Philippines' continued visa-free privileges for Taiwanese nationals and expressed optimism that the arrangement will further boost two-way tourism and travel between Taiwan and the Philippines.

Sino ang pwedeng gumamit ng Departure E-Gates?

✅ Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) na bumiyahe gamit ang API-compliant airlines at may valid travel documents na naka-link sa Bureau of Immigration system.

✅ Ilang returning o frequent Filipino travelers na eligible sa Bureau of Immigration system. Ang eligibility ay depende sa travel records ninyo at ire-redirect kayo ng immigration staff kung qualified kayong gumamit ng e-gates. Makikita ninyo sa etravel app kung qualified ka or hindi.

Mga dapat tandaan:

✔️ Hindi lahat ng passengers ay qualified sa Departure E-Gates.

✔️ Siguraduhing nakapag-register sa eTravel bago ang inyong flight.

Mas mapapabilis ang departure process kung eligible kayo ( para no more tanong at kaba 🤭) , pero kung hindi, dadaan pa rin kayo sa regular immigration interview.

FILIPINOS MAY SOON VISIT GUAM WITHOUT A VISA

Officials from Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands are seeking to include the Philippines in the Guam-CNMI Visa Waiver Program, which could allow Filipinos to visit the territories without a visa.

The proposal was presented to US federal officials in May 2026 and is being promoted to boost tourism, transportation links, economic activity, and regional cooperation. Leaders from both territories said the move would help diversify visitor markets, improve connectivity, and strengthen ties between the United States and the Philippines.
